Im just pointing out that "getting dynasty players handed to you" is not resolved in any way at all by the current system. Yay verily, it was the dedicated tankers in 4.0 who tanked successfully and the shit gms that sat at the bottom the whole time. It's still the same way now.

even besides g-league, what's keeping you from signing guys off FA and trying them out during the league

for example, what would Kassius Robertson do as a #1 option? Dell Curry's got A- Outside and never gotten real minutes, is there a player there?

With that having been said, I don't have the time or interest to dedicate to TMBSL to scrape the bottom of the barrel repeatedly. I can count on one hand the amount of GMs that (or would want to) do that on a season by season basis.

I just wanna bring things back to the original post and reason for this thread. Druce said he believes the league is a little boring. I agreed and stated my specific reasons. The solutions that were provided are "you aren't doing enough" and "be more interested."

i really think the biggest problem is just the lack of regular sims

at the same time, odin didn't start 6.0 because he had a lot of time and wanted to

he started 6.0 because 5.0 fell apart all of a sudden and he wanted to keep sim league going

now is obviously (as said by odin repeatedly) not the best time in his life to be commishing a sim league

i think if we can all hang on until odin gets situated that thing would probably be better on that front

Its more random now and requires less effort, you can sit in lotto for 50 years and still be shit or you can do it with a stagnant 40 win team and finish the rebuild doing jack shit in 2 seasons.

You had to be super strategic like taking big risks to draft Larry Bird and sign unheralded free agents like Jimmy Jackson.

honestly the only thing i think you could have done differently was use the free amnesty, maybe also a year 1 buyout.

It takes strategy to build around that duo enough to have a dynasty

plus I have other championship level teams

as you know since I am TMBSL's all time leader in championships
