I actually recommended Breaux wait until after preseason to make a trade so he could get a better idea of Brown's real value.
A one year contract without birds who is unlikely to resign doesn't give Breaux much. I think he likes Bridges (obvi) and Mobley, which leaves Brown without a place.
But again, I said wait until after preseason in case Brown does well and would be worth a lot more.
