Leaping out of the gym is Calvin's thing, unfortunately he is usually jumping into a football uniform. Calvin Johnson has everything TMBSL scouts desire in a prospect physically. The best jumping in the class. Incredibly quick, and football player strong. Offensively he bruises inside for amazingly acrobatic dunks, mostly on lobs from teammates. Outside of that however, he is extremely raw and unproven on the court. A weird hitch in his jumpshot produces horrid results, and even he laughs when you mention the three point line.
Defensively, he makes his presence feel known in the post, displaying his acrobatic potential with flashy blocks. However, he often gets confused on switches and if his man goes out to the perimeter, he will almost assuredly end up wide open. His rebounding is merely average for the position, with boxing out and being correctly positioned on the shot oftentimes being too difficult for him. However, his potential is the highest in this class if he can put it all together.
