One of the lankier kids in this class, Michael Vick comes out of one year at Virginia Tech a raw, but tantalizing prospects. He is the quickest player in the class, and one of the most explosive as well. Offensively, he is limited to shooting the ball within the 3 point line, with a good range of moves to get the ball in the basket, including a silky smooth pull up J. However, he struggles finishing inside against bigger competition given his lack of strength when he can't create space for himself outside of the paint. For a point guard, he isn't particularly likely to pass the ball, preferring to put his head down and try to break his man's ankles for a touchd... err basket. However, when he does try to pass his inaccuracy causes turnover issues.
Defensively, there is a lot of potential here but it's not quite there yet. His speedy hands and feet allows him to generate a decent amount of steals, but his lack of defensive knowledge causes lapses that also put a good amount of points on the board for the other team. He tries hard at rebounding, but doesn't manage anything impressive there, even when compared to other at his position.
