PreSeason - Initial Standings
First blush, good looking group with some real high upside. Maybe a few swings and misses in FA, but hey! That's fun! (note: Trent Forrest's stats look great! But he was playing center the whole time because Kujo didn't set a DC... not sustainable A:TO... so he's capped at HM for this update... would love to see him get some PG run soon, same deal for Kira Lewis playing for the Stags at SG). Top 2 are clear, next 2 are clear as well... I see a pretty good gap between 4 and the rest of the ladder, but very little between the end of the ladder and the entire HM list.
1. Patrick Williams - Orlando Magic 3rd in P/TSA, 3rd in scoring, 5th in rebounding... and some fantastic defensive numbers (2nd in blocks). Williams looks like a beast. TOs are his only weakness.
2. Anthony Edwards - Orlando Magic Now this is what we call a MAGIC trick. 2nd in P/TSA, 1st in scoring, 1st in steals... Edwards also needs to get his TOs down... but also needs to work on jumper, unlike Williams, which lands him at #2.
3. Zeke Nnaji - Chicago Bulls 3rd in rebounding, 3rd in blocks, 3rd in stocks... all with decent (not great) efficiency.... which could be easily solved. Jumpshot is decent enough.
4. Onyeka Okongwu - Portland Trail Blazers 4th in P/TSA, 2nd in rebounding and good enough defensive numbers... ends up as a major steal on an LLE for this season.
5a. Vernon Carey - Dallas Mavericks 5b. Obi Toppin - Portland Trail Blazers
5c. Saddiq Bey - Atlanta Hawks Grouped these 3 together because I see very little difference between them. All look like fairly efficient, mid-to-high volume scorers that won't KILL you with TOs. Carey gets the slight nod because of his lowest TOs, best rebounding numbers, and best defensive stats of the group... but his FT% needs to edge up. All are on 1 year deals, so it should be interesting to see if they earn their team's extension by season's end.
8. Nico Mannion - Dallas Mavericks Narrowly edging out about 5-6 players, Mannion showed surprising scoring volume and has some of the best looking FT/3p%s in the class. A:TO is very solid for a rook and he's a good ball thief.
Honorable Mentions:
Points: Markus Howard - Seattle SuperSonics Trent Forrest - Miami Heat Kira Lewis - Chicago Stags Cole Anthony - Charlotte Bobcats (breaking my own rule on this one... TOs are ghastly, everything else is elite... but the TOs are just awful awful awful) Killian Hayes - Orlando Magic
Wings: Devin Vassell - Orlando Magic Lamar Stevens - Harlem Globetrotters
Bigs: Omer Yurtseven - Orlando Magic Aleksej Pokusevski - Atlanta Hawks Mamadi Diakite - Chicago Stags Paul Reed - Charlotte Bobcats

👨🏼⚕️delapandemic🚑, long time reader, first time caller questioner - since you seem to put a lot of weight on P/36 numbers why not put snippets of that instead of the players page stats? Just curious, keep up the good work, I'll take my answer off the air - thanks!

Day 40 UpdateWe got ourselves a clear #1... and some other good players... and a lot of really unique guys who have some elite skills, but major flaws. Big drop-off from 3 to 4... and then everyone is kinda a muddled mess. The fall of Anthony Edwards is something to keep an eye on... as his efficiency in the PS may have been a mirage. 1. Patrick Williams - Orland Magic (previous: 1)Easy choice here. 2nd in P/TSA, great volume, decent rebounding... but the best stocks in the class and very low TOs. 2. Zeke Nnaji - Chicago Bulls (previous: 3)Narrowly edging out Okongwu for the spot because of his lower TOs, Nnaji looks like a well-rounded big who will turn into a very-above average rebounder and defender, all while maintaining efficiency (#5 in P/TSA in the class). 3. Onyeka Okongwu - Maine RedClaws (previous: 4)1st in scoring, 6th in P/TSA, 5th in rebounding, and very solid defensive numbers. If his FT% holds up, he's looking fantastic. TOs are a problem though. 4. RJ Hampton - Sacramento Kings (previous: NR)4th in P/TSA, strong volume for a wing, low TOs, and good steal metrics, Hampton finds his way onto the ladder for this update. He's getting called up to the big leagues, so his PT may plummet soon and he won't qualify for later ladders. 5. Saddiq Bey - Atlanta Hawks (previous: 5)Good scorer, 3rd in P/TSA.... but that's about it. He's pretty pedestrian in rebounding and defense, but at least TOs aren't a problem! 6. Mamadi Diakite - Pittsburgh Condors (previous: HM)Looks like the best chance we have at a pure D/R big in this class. Doesn't want to shoot much, boards and stocks are above-average. 7a. Cole Anthony - Utah Jazz (previous: HM)TOs are down from PS... but still not great. He makes it here by default because of lack of other worthy candidates. Outside of TOs and rebounding, he looks great. He should improve from FT and 3% naturally, so his efficiency will get even better. 7b. Kira Lewis - Pittsburgh Condors (previous: HM)Same deal as Anthony... TOs are simply atrocious. But... he's crazy efficient right now (#1 in P/TSA)... though I'm not sure shooting 97% from the FT line is sustainable as a rookie. Honorable Mentions
Points: Nico Mannion - Minneapolis Lakers Trent Forrest - Miami Heat
Wings: Anthony Edwards - Orlando Magic
Bigs: Luke Garza - Chicago Bulls Omer Yurtseven - Pittsburgh Condors Daniel Oturu - Indiana Pacers

Day 90Late update, but a clearer picture. 1. Patrick Williams - Orlando Magic (previous: 1)Really solidifying his spot here, there is a big drop to #2. 1st in P/TSA, 2nd in blocks, 2nd in stocks, low low TOs. 2. Zeke Nnaji - Chicago Bulls (previous: 2)Much lower TOs and better defensive numbers keep him just ahead of Okongwu. 3. Onyeka Okongwu - Maine RedClaws (previous: 3)TOs are really his only fatal flaw... but his defensive numbers leave a bit to be desired as well. 1st in scoring and 2nd in rebounding, good efficiency. 4. Saddiq Bey - Atlanta Hawks (previous: 5)Very efficient, low TOs, good scoring... but that's about it. 5. Mamadi Diakite - Pittsburgh Condors (previous: 6)Really solid defensive player. Got his efficiency up to 1.05. 6. Obi Toppin - Grand Rapids Drive (previous: NR)Efficiency and scoring really spiked, TOs aren't a deal breaker... but his lack of defense is worrying. The big version of Saddiq Bey? Some are saying "YES" 7. Killian Hayes - Orlando Magic (previous: NR)Efficiency has ticked up just enough to get him here. He's a careful ball handler, especially for a rookie. Looks like he has some defensive potential as a stealer. Might be a worse rebounder than Blackman, though. 8. Cole Anthony - Utah Jazz (previous: 7)TOs are creeping back up, Anthony might fall off the ladder by season's end. Has a negative A:TO.... which I didn't know was possible for a PG. Honorable Mentions: Points: Kira Lewis - Pittsburgh Condors Nico Mannion - Minneapolis Lakers Trent Forrest - Miami Heat Malachi Flynn - Chicago Zephyrs
Wings: RJ Hampton - Dallas Mavericks Jordan Nwora - Seattle SuperSonics Isaac Okoro - San Antonio Spurs
Bigs: Omer Yurtseven - Pittsburgh Condors Luke Garza - Chicago Bulls Paul Reed - Minneapolis Lakers Daniel Oturu - Indiana Pacers Precious Achiuwa - Miami Floridians

You can't have a negative A:TO you can just have a sub-1 A:TO

Final Update - Day 120Same 8 as before, different order. Lots of the HM players have some great skills... just not efficient scoring (see Achiuwa, Precious and Avdija, Deni)... so there is some hope in the long run for some of them. Mr. wee2dee please transfer 1k from my bank to the bank of skrouse. Congrats to skrouse and Patrick Williams. 1. Patrick Williams - Orland Magic (previous: 1)2nd in P/TSA, 2nd in blocks, 1st in stocks... great rebounder and scorer. 2. Zeke Nnaji - Chicago Bulls (previous: 2)Good looking defensive prospect who doesn't turn it over or waste shots. 3. Saddiq Bey - Atlanta Hawks (previous: 4)1st in P/TSA, dynamic scorer. Rebounds are good enough, doesn't turn it over. SG eligible. 4. Onyeka Okongwu - Maine RedClaws (previous: 3)Drops because of concerns of stat-padding on a robot-laden team. He's still efficient and has great board numbers... defense is good... But are his numbers a bit of a mirage? I'd lean toward regression once he is on a real team. 5. Mamadi Diakite - Pittsburgh Condors (previous: 5)The kind of player Logan/Odin was just asking eric to make more of. Great beginnings of a D/R player. 6. Killian Hayes - Orlando Magic (previous: 7)Solid PG prospect, great A:TO, could be a solid defender. 7. Cole Anthony - Utah Jazz (previous: 8)Back to even in A:TO... will really be a force if those TOs come down. 8. Obi Toppin - Grand Rapids Drive (previous: 6)Really want more than scoring out of him... not sure we'll get it, though. Honorable Mentions:
Points: Trent Forrest - Miami Heat
Wings: RJ Hampton - Dallas Mavericks Isaac Okoro - San Antonio Spurs Anthony Edwards - Orlando Magic Deni Avdija - Cleveland Cavaliers
Bigs: Daniel Oturu - Indiana Pacers Omer Yurtseven - Pittsburgh Condors Paul Reed - Minneapolis Lakers Precious Achiuwa - Miami Floridians
