More of scoring guard than a passing guard, Ransey is one of the few players in this class that should become an elite 3pt shooter. He makes his hay from outside, with a fantastic jumpshot that he releases from a very high point thanks to his leaping ability. That said, he is not a player who will finish inside among the trees, as he struggles to finish through contact and doesn't adjust to new shooting angles well when faced with elite shot-blockers. A decent defender, but a woeful rebounder, Ransey at least offers some defensive resistance... which can't be said for all small guards in this class. Not the most willing of passers, he may frustrate his big men and wings... but if he is consistent in knocking down shots, they won't mind so much.
