When does Rookie FA begin?
The 2047 offseason.
What is the max contract I can offer rookies?
$8.9m, 4 years, 10%
Do one year rookie contracts max at $7m?
Yes, no players under 29 can be offered a 1 year deal valued at more than $7m unless you have birds.
Will there be rookie only FA sims?
No, rookies will be in the normal FA pool.
Which rookies contracts can be demoted?
Any rookie contract valued at $5m or less can be demoted. If a contract scales above $5m while the player is in the minors they can remain in the minors but if they are promoted they can't be sent back down.
Will rookies offers be exempt from soft cap restrictions?
No.
Can teams over the soft cap make min/LLE/MLE offers to rookies? Can they be extended?
Yes and yes, all one year deals $5m and under can be extended.
Are we still limited to 15 bids per FA sim?
Yes.
Can we extend 2 year rookie contracts?
No.
Can we decline the 3rd/4th years of a rookie contract?
No.
Can players on rookie contracts still be mentored?
Rookie contracts will be divided into two tiers. Tier 1 rookies can't be demoted. Tier 2 rookies can be demoted. Tier 2 rookies are the only ones eligible to be mentored. Mentors and mentees still must be on the same team.
Will there be a new asset to replace draft picks?
No.

Will mentoring still be a thing without clearly defined second rounders? eric my official ideas are: 1. mentor everyone 2. no 3. divide rookie contracts into two tiers: tier 1) rookies that cant be demoted, tier 2) rookies that can be demoted. tier 2 rookies can be mentored. if idea 1 or 3, will we have 4 years of mentoring eligible players if they are signed to 4 year deals? if idea 3 we would have to allow minor league players to be mentored. if we go with this, the mentor could be required to sit out the preseason possibly

What's the tier cutoff
What's up with not allowing players under 29 to get 1 year deals over 7m? Why isn't it just a players first contract cant be a 1 year deal over 7m?

No it isn't. The OP says which contracts can be demoted and which cant. And then like 9 questions later the word tier 1 and tier 2 appear for the first time. Are these related?

Why isn't it just a players first contract cant be a 1 year deal over 7m? this is an already existing rule that we use to keep mid tier players from signing 1 year $12.5m deals instead of 3 year $5m deals, because they would if we let them as such, it being their first or second or nth contract is not relevant
