Didn't mean to make you feel bad during our trade negotiations. i was fully intending on getting IT, I thought you were going to accept my offer of a couple firsts 2nds and bucks. People were talking about him in shout and I said his handling was shitty. Maybe not the best move but i often do things without fully thinking through the ramifications. good luck going forward

we can probably retire the phrase "trade rape"
as far as falling off goes, what happens is that when players get to 50 potential their potential goes ± 5 each year unless they go above, in which case the next year they immediately go back down to the 50 range again
okay, so at 50 potential players can still improve a little because they're in tier 3. once they hit 40 that's tier 2 and they pretty much stay the same (although more likely to get a little worse than better), but the change in potential is still pretty much staying still. once they hit 20 is when a player gets much worse in TC, but again the change in potential can still go up from there
so a player can have one rough TC and then bounce back up into tier 2 and stay there for the rest of their career
or a player can have one rough TC and then bounce down deeper into tier 1, and keep having rough TCs the rest of their career
as far as between positions, there's nothing in terms of direct attribute effects that would make a big difference. it's possible that because people put a lot more stock in big man defensive counting stats, a drop there is more palpable than if a pg goes from 1.5 to 1.0 steals. hard to say

On the Rubio thing, part of it was definitely rhat I watched him play in the Olympics when he was 17 and came away super impressed. I thought he would be a star in the league. May be making the same judgment mistake now that I did then, but I liked the numbers from his full scout and I felt like I had to take him with the knowledge he's a hidden gem. I do have a long history of "objectively terrible" decisions, though lol
