Several anonymous sources within the Stags organization have reported that rising star Ronny Turiaf is unhappy with his role on team so far this season. After a breakout campaign in 2042, Turiaf believes he has earned the right to be the focal point of the team's offense, but he continues to be outpaced in minutes per game by the Stags' other promising young big man, Willie Cauley-Stein. The growing rift between Turiaf and the Stags coaching staff makes it hard to believe he won't test the waters in free agency, as his contract is set to expire this year. The Stags have bird years and will have plenty of cap space to re-sign Turiaf to a contract in 2044 and beyond, but GM Troy Barnes' ability to sell Turiaf on his vision for the future of the franchise may be the more important factor in this situation.
