Tyrese Haliburton PG 6'5" 180 20
Iowa State
Though he's actually a Leap Day baby and should be "5" in the software... we are gonna go ahead and call him 20. Haliburton is a great passer and facilitator, creates multiple easy shots every game (7.1 apg currently). Has good timing with his assists, often making pocket passes or zipping dimes across the court to cutters and shooters before the defense has time to react. Blossomed into the primary scorer this season for Iowa State after being more of a secondary role player as a Fr., more than doubling his scoring from 6 ppg to 15. He can truly excel at either guard position at the next level. His shooting form isn't beautiful, but the ball has gone in the basket a lot more this year than last. He attempts over 5 3pters a game, so he's not afraid to gun it from outside. He's fast and rebounds well for a point guard. His TOs spiked this year (but not to an unplayable level) as he was the primary creator more often than he was in his 1st year of college... so that is something to watch for in the future. Despite his increased load and good marksmanship, he is not well-equipped to be a lead scorer. His athleticism is good, but his jumping is fairly average compared to the rest of the draft class.
