if players that are signed before sim 1 are eligible to have their birds restored assuming the same team signs them then wouldnt it be logical that rookies signed during that period can be extended?

the bird restore thing is because the software doesn't apply its own rule correctly - birds should only be lost when a player is signed to a new team, but a player who makes it through FA loses their birds in the software no matter which team they sign with
it doesn't matter if the player is signed before sim 1 or signed two years later, so long as they haven't signed with a new team in between i'll "restore" their birds (if people bring it to my attention) because they shouldn't have been zeroed by the software in the first place
