RULE CHANGES
There will be no 2047 rookie draft. Instead, we will be going to rookie free agency. This means no 2047 draft picks can be traded. Any trade including a 2047 or later draft pick will be vetoed.
EXPANSION
We will be having an expansion draft at 1 PM July 29th.
Anyone drafted in the rookie draft is automatically protected.
Accepted resignings are also automatically protected.
Existing GMs can protect up to another five players on their team and affiliate under contract in 2042.
A GM can trade a protection slot directly to another team.
New GMs otherwise can take on up to one player and their contract from each existing GM.
Protections are due 1 PM July 28th.
ROOKIE DRAFT
The draft class is up.
There are five players in this class who are hidden gems.
If a hidden gem receives a lab upgrade of at least +10, they will receive a one-time bonus +10 for free that does not count against GM yearly or player career caps, but cannot surpass attribute limits. The reply to the lab post will notify that the player is a hidden gem even if the GM did not list enough applicable options for any part of the upgrade to apply. A GM who performs tier 2 potential, tier 3, or tier 4 scouting on a hidden gem will have that status revealed in the response.
Three more hidden gems are out of the league: Allan Ray, Don Reid, and Loren Meyer. That makes thirteen retirements and twelve discoveries.
Draft picks can be made starting now.
Draft picks can be traded in any way until the trade deadline.
Between the trade deadline and the end of the playoffs, any trade involving a pick in this draft and a player is illegal and will be voided.
Every GM who does not send a list will be fined 2000 pig pennies per first round timer expired and 1000 per second round.
The rookie draft timer starts 1 PM July 11th, and the timer in the first round is one hour.
Starting now, there is a 24 hour timer for the GM who is up to make a post in the rookie draft thread.
This post does not have to be a pick, but if the GM does not post anything at all within 24 hours they will be skipped.
Anyone who sends a list automatically opts into a third round pick.
After the second round, I will take the top remaining player for each optee in the same order as the second round.
Any undrafted rookie can be signed directly to a one year deal with a minor league affiliate starting at 10 PM after TC.

tier 2 - 10000 - the attribute breakdown of a given grade (Inside, Outside, etc.) in letter form (A = 81-100, B = 61-80, etc.)

tier 4 - 30000 - all attributes exactly
private workout - 25000 - the rank of two (+5000 for each additional participant) players in all attributes
stats - 25000 - the following aggregate per-36 stats from the season run three times test sim - only profile players can use this tier
GMs who purchase a tier of scouting can purchase the next tier of scouting on the same player for only the difference in price. Example: a GM purchases tier 2 on Kevin Durant for 10k. It only costs them 7k to purchase tier 3. Stats scouting and private workouts are not applicable.
