Dwight Howard
Washington Bullets (2020-2023)
Portland Trail Blazers (2024-2029)
Washington Bullets (2030-2037)
At a Glance - A dominant scoring big for an extensive period of time, Dwight's numbers were even deflated by 3 seasons of lax GMing in Washington that left him languishing as a backup. - An integral part of the two-towers, along with David Robinson, that won the 2028 TMBSL title in Portland. - 173.9 career WS, good for 28th all-time at the time of this nomination - 5th all-time in Points Scored, Free Throws Made, and Total Rebounds. - 4th all-time in FG made. - 2nd all-time in FT attempted and TOs, 8th all-time in Personal Fouls
- 6th all-time in FG%, 7th all-time in FG attempted. - 11th all-time in minutes played (would've likely be Top 5 without the mysterious backup years) Career Stats

Really benefited from a brief departure from Washington to work on his jump shot.

come on guys, this is ridiculous.
he scored well but thats it. his rebounding is ok. so many of his records are simply due to being good enough for 18 years. his defense is solid but he has more turnovers than bleals. he was good for a long time but his only real.accomplishment was beating me in the finals once and thats not really anything worth bragging about.
he was good for a long time but he was never great and thats not good enough for me. he made 3 (THREE!!!) all stars games in 18 years. 3. not 13, 3.

From 2021-2030, Dwight ranked in the top 10 in the league in points and rebounds every year, leading the league in scoring once and finishing second once. If not for Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and David Robinson (3 HOFers) he's in the top 2 or 3 in rebounding each of those years. He's also making a lot more all-star teams. Kn didn't set a DC for two seasons, so Dwight's numbers fell in 2031 and 2032. In 2033, he returned to the starting lineup and once again was top 10 in both categories. The year after, no DC again. After that he started to fall off, but was still putting up 20/10 until he retired at 35. If he gets starter minutes those three seasons, he's probably top 3 all time in both categories.

Gate-keeping a fake HOF is dumb af Like 80% of the fun associated with this whole exercise is debating player evaluations and HOF votes are a great additional way to put that into practice. It's not like getting a player into the Hall of Fame provides any benefit or detriment to anyone. It's just fun to debate.

In 2035 we switched back to two conferences, so Dwight effectively had his final three seasons at ages 33, 34, and 35 where he wasn't required to be a top two center in the league in order to be named an all-star. His career overlapped with Kareem (who also wasn't even an all-star in a one-conference league for his final two seasons), David Robinson, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Greg Monroe who are all Hall of Famers, so top two is a pretty tall order.
