Larry Kenon PF 6'9" 215 21 Memphis
A little bit under the radar, Kenon only logged one season of major college basketball before turning pro. In his one year there, he nearly led the NCAA in rebounds and steals, which is great... but rarely made it to the free throw line, despite being a big man with the ball in the post quite often. He seems to shy away from contact and prefers to settle for jumpers instead of attacking the basket. His jumper isn't that great, though, so he has not shown himself as a great offensive weapon... just your average big-ish man. Whoever picks him will be making a bet that his ceiling is high and that they can beef up his offensive repertoire. Despite his size and long arms, he blocked surprisingly few shots at Memphis, but that could be more related to his desire to box out and secure the board than actual acumen. The biggest red flag could be his penchant to be loose with the ball, where he often likes to grab and go and ends up in traps where he loses the ball or he attempts to dribble too much in the post and doesn't see weakside help coming to strip him. He needs coaching and polishing for sure.
