1) Now a lot of us know the story of how you joined the league -- but for our listeners that are not familiar, would you recount the tale of how you joined the league?

2) To my knowledge you have never quit being GM for an period of time -- why is that? Have you ever had any thoughts of leaving in the past, present, or future?

1) What do you think about the previous iterations of sim league you have been in? We know you joined at the end of 4.0. What did you think about 4.0 specifically at the time. What did you think about how 5.0 started, and how it has continued. What would you consider the highlight of the league? What about the lowlight? @ 20:15

2) Moving into more recent territory -- what do you think about draft classes in 5.0? There are significant differences from 4.0 and even within 5.0 itself as time as gone on. Do you think we’ve hit a sweet spot? Is anything lacking? Would you change/add/takeaway anything about how pre-draft information is delivered or presented? What about post-draft information (recaps?) @ 24:45

3) What do you think about trading where we stand right now -- there seems to be a decent amount of activity. Is it too hard to trade? Too easy? Any rules you would want to see changed/added/taken away? @ 30:05

4) League meta. What type of team do you think is best? Is there a best DC or offense to run with the current types of players we see? Is an elite player required to compete? @ 35:00

1) First let’s just talk about former GMs. I’ll give you some leeway on what you want to talk about here, but I’m interested in hearing a few of your favorite / least favorite former GMs. What is your favorite ‘former GM moment’, least favorite? @ 43:00

2) What about current GMs? You don’t have to talk about everyone here, but maybe your favorite/least favorite current GM personally. Highlights or lowlights?
Let’s talk a little bit now on the quality of GMs as GMs -- where is the league’s current talent level relative to other points in TMBSL. @ 47:00

3) What do you think about the state of the league right now in terms of number of GMs? Do you like the way we currently expand/contract the league? Would you change anything about how we hire/fire gms? @ 50:45

Enjoyed the deep dive thoroughly, lots of great insights from both a GM'ing and just a general perspective of the league.

It sounds like it was really nice having someone with experience like Fecta to text/talk with about the league, I can't think of one person I ever spoke to about how the league worked, how the software operated or for simple things such as line up or trade advice. Those convos all took place in shout or on the forums. Reminds me of the convo Druce, Bill and I had on a pod regarding the value of an assist in the software. And how some GMs don't have full awareness of the nuances of FBB. Feels like it can be a real detriment at times, especially in close decisions. That's where those shout convos with said experts about comparing different 
players comes in handy I guess. 

I agree that mixing up the software would be great for 6.0. I'm unaware what the other options are exactly and how they could impact how the league is run from the commissioner's chair as well as a gm's perspective. A gaming title like 2K would be amazing, especially for streaming game 7s or something. But is that realistic? I do know for sure that one of the best things with that change would be eric potentially regaining a GM role.

I was also glad to hear the Rookie FA convo continue. I read eric's post once and agreed with most feedback at the time, but I need to give it a second glance. I personally think it's a toss up at this point and could be a massive failure, or like wheel, a surprise success. 

Great stuff though BK, well done all around. 50K a piece for sure, one of the best we've had.


And btw what a nice boost to the league lately having all of these new pods and articles going on. Great job everyone, but hats off to eric, to further a point Tim touched on none of this is possible without you, and I believe even more so these pods and in-depth articles, none of it happens without the level of consistency you've bestowed upon the league. So Bravo to you sir.

also, re: the outside vs. inside offense, there are a ton more players for an inside offense because in order to be a viable scoring option in an outside offense the player has to have high inside AND high outside, and the only players that exist with both of those things are the elite of elite and harder to acquire.
