Terry Porter PG 6'3" 193 22 Wisconsin - Steven's Point
The NAIA Player of the Year and Tournament MVP (despite losing in the title game), Porter looks to build on his Olympic Try-Out invite in 1984 and show scouts at the TMBSL Combine what he can really do. After the Olympic trials NBA scouts began to notice Porter for his "tight defensive play, nonstop hustle, and deft shooting touch". A do-everything point guard, Porter shoots early and often, especially from deep. Though a scoring guard more than a traditional point guard, Porter still passes enough to keep teammates involved. His real calling card at the various invitationals where he's gone against real competition has been his defense. He ended up on the All-Tournament team at every stop and was named Defensive MVP (over Joe Dumars and Xavier McDaniel) at the Aloha All-Star Classic last fall. Despite all of those accolades related to hustle, he just doesn't get rebounds at all, even for a point guard he's bad.
