Joe Dumars SG 6'3" 190 22 McNeese State
A bulldog defensive guard and a steady hand on offense, Dumars narrowly edged out fellow profiled-player Karl Malone as the Southland Conference Player of the Year. He enters the draft as a real grit n grind guard who is happy to tackle the dirty work on defense and let others shine on offense. He harasses opposing guards, deflects passes, swipes the ball with regularity, and generally makes life hell via presses and traps. Offensively he can be a secondary ball-handler and facilitator, preferring to let others shoot. When he does shoot, though, he is a knockdown gunner from the mid-range and FT line. He will likely be one of the few players in this class that really benefits from the 3pt line in TMBSL. He's undersized a bit, so going into the paint isn't his forte... but he knows that and won't often try to do the things on the court that he doesn't do well.
