Benoit Benjamin C 7'0" 246 21 Creighton
An intriguing prospect out of a beloved institution in Nebraska, Benjamin is one of the bigger unknowns entering the draft process. The Division I leader in blocked shots (at over 5 per contest), Benjamin was a force defensively for Creighton. He also pulled down the 2nd highest total of rebounds in the NCAA. Those two skills alone would probably get him drafted in most years, but he also has a solid free throw rate and percentage, which should intrigue most GMs looking for a young center prospect. A big question surrounding his game at the next level will be his ability to function as part of an offense. He feasted on weaker teams and smaller players for most of his college career, so the translation to playing night in and night out while trying to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes will be an interesting one. Scouts are divided on his ability to maintain offensive production/volume in TMBSL.
