Position eligibility is mostly determined by draft profile. Draft profiles will list players as one of the following positions: C, PF, F, SF, SG, CG, PG. See below for more details.



C
can only ever play C or PF.
can't change display position


PF
can only ever play C or PF.
can't change display position


F
can play C or PF
can play SF if they have NEVER received Shot Blocking or 3pt upgrades while at PF
can move freely between PF and SF assuming they are eligible to play both positions


SF
can play C, PF, or SF
can play SG if they have NEVER received Shot Blocking upgrades and are under 6'9"
can't change display position.


SG
can play SF or SG
must have B+ Handling to be listed as 2nd or 3rd string PG
can't change display position


CG
will always be created at SG
must have B+ Handling to be 1st string PG
must have B- Handling to be 2nd or 3rd string PG
can move freely between SG and PG


PG
must have B- Handling to be 1st string PG
must have C+ Handling OR be a Rookie to be 2nd or 3rd string PG
can't change display position
