Cooper can jump out of the gym and has all the tools to be an elite perimeter defender. Paired with a solid jump shot one might think he was primed for stardom from day one, but scouts question the lack of killer instinct - he doesn't want the ball when the game's on the line, he doesn't want the ball when the team's way down, he doesn't want the ball when the team's way up, he just plain doesn't want the ball. Compounded with the fact that he currently has no three point shot or passing acumen to speak of, it's not clear what his role is on offense, and he may be destined to perpetual supersubdom.
