Jerry Stackhouse SF 6'6" 218 20 North Carolina
In only 2 years in Chapel Hill, Stackhouse has proven to be an all-around stud, with virtually no holes in his game. He didn't quite meet the expectations of being "the next MJ" that all UNC wings must face, but he acquitted himself incredibly well. That said, he may not excel in any one area enough to be considered a marquee player at the next level. He scores consistently, puts up defensive counting stats, rebounds well for his size, and shoots good percentages from almost everywhere. He likely needs to work the most on his FT stroke, where he hasn't been the most consistent over the past season. Despite his young age, most scouts don't see a possible explosion in talent, understanding that his talent now puts him in the league and that GMs needn't wait on his development to recoup their investment in him. He's not a natural passer, either, but isn't afraid to move the ball some... it just never seems to lead to his teammates getting buckets. The positives? Offensively, Stackhouse is great at driving to the basket, either finishing or drawing a foul (he gets to the line a *ton*). He has really worked hard at improving his range (from 2 for 20 to 37 for 90 over his 2 years in Chapel Hill). He can leap out of the gym, so his athleticism is not a big question mark.
