Theo Ratliff PF 6'10" 217 22 Wyoming
A wiry, springy fellow... Ratliff will immediately be seen as a project by most GMs, needing to add core strength and weight to his frame. However, when they see past that, they should see a relative unknown coming out of the plains of Laramie who has a ton of potential to blossom. He is a preternatural shot blocker and swatted more than 5 shots a game this season, and has averaged more than 4 per contest for the last 3 years as a starter. His offensive game is a bit of a mystery. He's an effective finisher around the rim, especially cleaning up off of misses... but that's about as far as it goes. His FT% is dreadful and his form is all elbows and angles. Overall his rebounding game is confusing as well, as stated, he is great at cleaning up misses and keeping possessions alive... but he really doesn't get many defensive rebounds at all. Is this because he's always trying to block shots? Probably. That's the risk you take with Ratliff, who might, along with Stoudamire, be the biggest boom/bust candidate of our lottery profile players.
