- Selected with the second overall pick in the 2016 TMBSL draft by the Washington Bullets, immediately between surefire HOFers Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard
- Offered to resign with the Bullets for a max agreement but was rebuffed and ended up in Atlanta on an MLE agreement that was extended for the full three years
- Re-signed with the Hawks after the expiration of his extended MLE for $93,750,000 over 6 years in 2023
- Traded from the Hawks to the Bulls in the 2027 offseason for Dion Waiters, Enes Kanter, Luol Deng, and two first round picks
- Offered to re-sign with Chicago for $94,500,000 over 5 years in 2029 but was turned down
