Transactions
- Selected with the first overall pick of the 2013 draft by the Oakland Oaks
- After the expiration of his rookie contract, Cousins was signed to the Harlem Globetrotters on an MLE that was extended for two seasons
- Cousins was traded along with Wes Unseld and Jimmy Walker to the Mavericks for Paul George and cash
- After a breakout several seasons in Dallas on his extended MLE, Cousins agreed to return to Dallas for $144,375,000 over 7 years
- Cousins was then traded three seasons into that deal to the Heat with cash for Andrei Kirilenko and Tim Duncan; the Heat would release him in their offseason amnesty parade that also saw HOFers Nick Van Exel and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar be jettisoned
- After his amnesty, his contract was picked up in it's entirety by the Oakland Oaks; they would buy him out with two years remaining when the Orlando Magic picked him up on a claim-adjusted 2 year, 19 mil per season deal
- After his agreement with the Magic ended, Boogie returned to Dallas on a one-year, $15.9 mil agreement
