An absolute stud inside, Issel scored more than 30ppg to lead Kentucky to an SEC title. He bull-dozed his way to those baskets inside, while still maintaining a respectable FT stroke. He is seriously deficient in footspeed, compared with his peers, but that didn't stop his scoring prowess. He is not a good passer and really only has eyes for the bucket. His handles have been maligned, rightly, as he is often stripped when he tries to maneuver through traffic instead of just using his strength to go through defenders.
