Today, Atlanta welcomes the sixth member (and fifth player member) of its legendary Gold Club. Known primarily as the leader of the bench mob during the Hawks dynastic mid 2020s run to 5 Finals appearances and 3 titles, Battie was a crucial part of what made the Hawks go. His work as the sixth man for that club is now being rewarded as he's appropriately the sixth man to be elected into the Gold Club.
He will always be remembered for being an outstanding locker room presence as well as a fierce rebounder and good scorer and defender. His many contributions will be immortalized in Atlanta history as he was able to return to Atlanta and retire as a Hawk and he is now a Gold Club member forever!

- After serving as a starter in his first season in Atlanta he settled into a role behind the newly acquired Olden Polynice as a scorer and dominant rebounder leading the Hawks bench group
- Battie was an efficient enough scorer and serviceable defender but he was the master of the glass and helped the Hawks control possession with his work on the boards
