MVP
1. Jon Peirce- *2.17 in creation draft (44 Picks after RJ Barrett)The leading scorer in the league, that’s carried the Sonics to the best record in the league after the first few sims. Hss stats are nearly flawless, besides leading the league in scoring at 35.2 PPG, he’s the eighth leading rebounder with 11.6 RPG, leads the league free throw attempts with 12.1 FTA and chipping in 1.3 SPG and 1.1 BPG on defense. If he and the Sonics keep this up he should get the people’s vote.
2. Brain Winter- *2.21 in creation draft (48 Picks after RJ Barrett)
This is easy, Winter is by far the best PG in the league and on the best team. He’s a lock to win the software’s vote as long as he doesn’t miss a significant period of time. He also looks like a lock to be on the all-defensive team with his 2.5 SPG and .5 BPG. The only knock right now could be the low three-point percentage which should come around as the season goes on.
3. Stephon Templeton - *2.12 in creation draft (39 Picks after RJ Barrett)
I could have picked either of the Grizzlies starting bigs but decided to go with Templeton because of his shot blocking and because Mikan turns it over too much. Templeton is third in scoring at 32.5 PPG with and fifth in blocks with 1.6 BPG. His field goal and free throw percentages (53.7 and 88.4) are both elite. He’s the best two-way big in the league right now and this time it’s actually true.
4. Colin Sexton- *1.1 in creation draft (1 Pick before RJ Barrett)
New iteration of sim league, same Sexton (just without the blocks/steals). Averaging 29.4 PPG on 50.5% shooting is ridiculous for a 19-year-old. It’s really impressive and scary that his volume is this high without being able to play PG yet. With the B- outside, I don’t think these insane shooting percentages will continue, especially the 45.7% on threes. If Odin gave him 100 potential or even close to it then we may be screwed.
5. Harry Galltin- *3.14 in creation draft (69 Picks after RJ Barrett)
Leading the league in rebounding with 14.8 RPG and sixth in scoring at 30.8 PPG while shooting 53.9%. He’s only fifth because he’s on the same team as Brain and he doesn’t provide much defense with the .9 SPG and .1 BPG. I worry Brain/Harry G could be the next Thompson/Kenon or Harrison/Reef.
t6. Jackie Moon - 2.3 in creation draft (30 Picks after RJ Barrett)
t6. Daniel Taurasi- *1.14 in creation draft (12 Picks after RJ Barrett)
-They’re in the East so who cares.
Teams That Could Challenge The Rockets
1. Sonics
They’re tied with the Rockets for best record in the league even with Tank Selvy underachieving and Ricky Roe struggling. Obviously, Pierce is great and could be a problem in the playoffs. I’d like their chances much more if they could get some more shot blocking or an upgrade at PG because I think they’ll need more scoring volume from that position.
2. Grizzlies
This may be too high since they don’t have much perimeter scoring right now, but with that big man tandem and potentially playing at a very slow pace they could win any series. Druce is always willing to make big moves, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls something off later in the year to push them over the top.
3. Hawks
Delle Donne and Hammon are one of the better scoring duos in the league. Hawks are also the only team in the league that rebound better than the Rockets right now. Terrence Catchings refusal to shoot could have really killed this team, but luckily for JHB, Roy Devyn White looks like a solid option at SG.
4. Timberwolves
Strong perimeter players featuring an MVP candidate in Sexton and they’ve got the DPOY with DJ Rony. This team gives up the fewest points and holds teams to the lowest FG% in the league which could go a long way in springing an upset. Sim Dump though needs to pick it up if they’re going to be a legit contender.
5. Clippers
My team is built similar to the Timberwolves, but I don’t have that elite player like Colin Sexton. With the playoffs, I’m banking on the old tried-and-true method of perimeter scoring winning series. I don’t intend to make any big moves this season, so my upgrades which you can donate to by voting 5 on this article will need to go a long way.
6. Knicks
Second best team in the East, but underachieving a bit so far. I think we all expected more out of that Firsto and Stan Haynes front court. Jesse Epstein is shooting well, but not enough and his handle is not sublime. I still think this team could use more wing scoring even though Sandor Clegane has had a good start to the season. Broderick Langhi plays good defense with the 1.9 SPG and .9 BPG, but 5.3 PPG on 34.4% shooting isn’t cutting it as starter. He’d be more useful as a third wing.
7. Pistons
Probably the most surprising team in the league during these first few sims. I don’t think they are ready to challenge for a title yet, I just wanted to give them some love. I like their future with Jackie Moon, Shamorie Ponds and Luke Maye all locked up for the next four seasons.
8. Spurs
Probably the most underachieving team in the league so far, but I think it was Ian or JHB that pointed out today that they’ve played a really difficult schedule. CompuGM told me he'd probably like their chances better if MJ moved Laurence Jackson to third scoring option or found a way to get a third scorer to compliment Neon and Diaz.
1. Colin Sexton
Already talked about his greatness.
2. DeAndre Ayton
Should be the first team center on the all-rookie team, and should be a future all league center within a few seasons. He already does everything pretty well. He’s averaging a double-double with 21.9 PPG and 10.1 RPG. Shoots well from the floor (50%) and well at the free throw line (81.8%). Plays good defense with .9 SPG to go with .9 BPG. And he doesn’t turn it over much (1.6 TOPG) like some of the other young scoring bigs. There isn't anything to dislike.
3. Cameron Reddish
Very good-looking wing prospect, kind of similar to Ayton where he doesn’t have any glaring flaws. He’ averaging 19.8 PPG on percentages of 47.8/96.7/36.4. Rarely turns it over with just .9 TOPG. I really like the defense he provides with 1.4 SPG and .7 BPG, those are both above average for a SG in this era of more realistic defensive stats. Only averaging 5.8 RPG, but I’m sure that number would be closer to 7 if he were playing SF.
4. Zion Wiliamson
The other Duke commit that is already really good. He’s shooting well and scoring with good volume at 24.7 PPG on 50% shooting. Also pulling down 10 RPG and contributes on defense with 1.1 BPG and .6 SPG. Should be an all-around star once he improves on the 2.7 TOPG. Could be one of the best players in the league if he gets the teenage dream TC.
5. Romeo Langford
I love his scoring volume (28.5 PPG) even if it is inflated a bit by the lack of scoring options on the Bulls. His shooting percentages of 47.2/80/39.6 are very good for an 18-year-old. I don’t like the 3.5 TOPG or that he doesn’t contribute much on defense with only 1 SPG and .2 BPG. But since he’s only 18, he still has a shot at the teenage dream TC.
Big ups to all the other good“rookies” that I didn’t have time to write about like Jalen Brunson, Jared Terrell, Kevin Knox, Luke Maye, Michael Porter Jr., Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges, Sagaba Konate, Shamorie Ponds, Simisola Shittu, Trendon Watford and Yante Maten.

Players That Could/Should Be Moved
1. Omar Little
Warriors don’t look like they will be contending for titles any time soon. With so many teams looking for PG help, Little could get Taco back possibly a draft pick or decent amount of dump bucks. Little's averaging 15.9 on 47.3% shooting. And on a modest 3 year – 4.5 mil per year deal. Little would be a nice fit on his old 4.0 team.
2. Borat Sagdiyev
Another Warrior that won’t around long enough to figure into the Warriors future plans. Borat’s 16 PPG on 45.5/81.3/46.2 percentages would be good fourth scoring option on probably a third of the teams in the league. He’s also on a manageable 3 year - 5 mil per year deal.
Let's get Borat in NYC.
Let's get Borat in NYC.
3. George Kok
Unless Buster is shooting for the eighth seed, he doesn’t have much use for 34-year-old center that's on a one-year deal. Kok probably won’t continue to average 23.2 PPG on a better team, but he’d be a good option for a team looking for front court help.
4. Lavar Ball
Ball would be the perfect one-year rental for a contender that is looking for perimeter scoring help. I think Ward would be happy with a return of a first in this draft or next year’s draft even if it doesn’t have lotto potential.
5. Chandler Chandler
Chandler is only 28 and blocking a decent amount of shots at 1.4 BPG in 28.7 MPG. The Jazz are likely lotto bound this season so it may not be a bad idea to try and pick up an extra draft pick for D/R big on only a one-year deal.
6. Moritz Wagner
Wagner is putting up 7.5 PPG, 4.8 RPG, .6 BPG in only 17.5 MPG. The Heat already have two good looking PFs with Williamson and Maten. It may be in Canes best interest to try and move Wagner for a perimeter prospect.
7. Jordan McLauglin
McLaughlin is putting up respectable numbers in limited minutes, 10.7 PPG on 48.2/92.1/44.7 percentages, 1.4 SPG and only 1.4 TOPG in 25 MPG. Throw some points into his inside scoring and you could have a quality PG. He's only 24 and on a five year deal so he'd probably command the biggest return of any player listed, but could be worth the price if a team likes his potential.
