Think of it like eric’s Rookie Ladder, but better. Also, it only includes teens, and it only includes what I consider my top 10. I have most of the ones who matter covered here, but I left out those who didn’t play or didn’t do anything remarkable through the first two sims.
1. Collin Sexton – Minnesota Timberwolves
Not much of a surprise here as 1.1 is also 1.1 among the teens. 30 points per game on over 50% shooting and over 50% from three. Low assist numbers seem to indicate he has a low passing grade and will continue to put up god-like scoring numbers. Rebounds are also high for a point guard, even if he is playing shooting guard.
2. Zion Williamson – Miami Heat
Averaging a double-double already with efficiency numbers that were rarely seen out of 4.0 bigs. Turnovers are a bit high, but tons to work with here. Young and already elite offensively should give Canes a big to build around – something unheard of in 4.0.
3. Cameron Reddish – Dallas Mavericks
Delap was regretting this pick for a minute, but it looks like a good one. The 2.5 bleals in addition to nice scoring and rebounding numbers that will only improve make Reddish look like one of the better all-around youngsters.
4. Romeo Langford – Chicago Bulls
The outside rating should grow naturally for the 18-year-old Langford, but he’s already pretty efficient overall. The turnovers are cause for concern, but five rebounds and 6.2 assists out of a shooting guard are quite nice.
5. Trendon Watford – Los Angeles Lakers
He should maybe be above Langford, but I’m admittedly biased. Fifty percent out of the gate for a 17-year-old and he still has all of his upgrade points. Buster done good in his return as a GM. Somehow locked up Watford in round five in addition to grabbing all the future firsts.
6. Jontay Porter – Washington Bullets
I thought this pick was a reach in round two but Jontay is already looking like a better prospect than his big brother. Excellent efficiency and the willingness to shoot threes. Some jump shot love to increase that free throw percentage could make him very good.
7. Jalek Felton – Utah Jazz
Looks like a future high-volume scorer with his low assist and high efficiency numbers. Felton almost slipped out of the creation draft entirely. Him and Bossert, who was definitely undoubtedly without question a major reach at 1.3 could give the Jazz a nice backcourt for years to come.
8. Simisola Shittu – Washington Bullets
A more traditional big than Porter, I love what the Bullets have in their frontcourt. Shittu’s 1.3 blocks are now considered pretty good for a big, and he’ll probably be averaging a double-double in the near future.
9. Wendell Carter Jr. – Boston Celtics
I’m starting to reach a little bit more here but I could foresee Carter developing into a pretty good offensive big. No defensive numbers to speak of, but almost 18 points and 10 boards per 36 already on 48% shooting is good.
10. R.J. Barrett – Charlotte Hornets
Lmao, not really. A trash player on a trash team run by a trash GM. There were 290 players picked in the Creation Draft and Fecta passed up on 288 of them for Barrett with the second overall pick. Nice job, dawg.
