Players that have 2 or less years experience could be signed directly by our minor league teams to minimum contracts. This would happen at the same time the MLE/LLE signing period opens post-TC.
Gives the opportunity to try out players that otherwise may go unsigned and disappear from the software because they weren’t selected in the draft and don’t have good enough shown grades to warrant one of the limited slots on the active teams.

I would even welcome them getting 3 year MIN deals or setting up a system where you can extend them 2 additional years at a cost.

1 year deal, but you have to pay to extend, like MLE or LLE deals.

What about two year deals okay, that is called a compromise, and it is not ideal to sum up win/win - udfa to minors, win/lose - only draftees to minors, lose/win - everyone to minors, and the answer is... keep players out of work in favor of automated robotitrons. no but seriously folks, i

so what's the deal... can we extend a rookie UDFA or anything? next year's UDFA will be allowed to sign on a min with a minor league team starting at 10 PM after TC then we'll see how it goes

Nay, minors are for drafted rookies, 3rd round already gives you an extra, we don't need anymore

Why do we need more players parked on Roboteams? Why cant they just be signed as FAs to the normal teams if they're good enough? If they're not good enough, oh well.

I'm not a fan of us being able to fill a 2nd team full of guys we picked up off FA. Draft picks are different, everyone only gets 2.

It’s another avenue to scout talent in a league where very few talented players change teams every year
The additional intel would be extremely valuable versus having a bunch of no name robots play

So if a player ends up being good then he is guaranteed to hit the open market and any team can be free to sign him. I would rather have this then players getting deleted from the software if they are usable long term.

Also what’s the point of a bunch of robots playing on teams if those teams could be essentially giving young players free tryouts
