With the wheel in place and profiles posted at Sim 8, what do we think of starting the rookie draft earlier, potentially during the regular season or playoffs?
I'd say if we did something like this, a timer shouldn't be implemented perhaps until playoffs are over. So we could maybe get through a few picks, maybe get through the entire thing, but either way, I'd guess we'd get through things quicker. It might even allow more time for folks to negotiate draft day trades and what not.

the timer will definitely not start until the day after playoffs, if that changes anyone's mind either way

Allow people to post picks as soon as the profiles are up. I dont need 6 days to decide to take AD. Theres legitimately no harm in doing it this way. It will allow for more on the fly draft trades and scouting decisions.

I would move it to immediately after Sim 10 as people maneuvering in the next season's draft shouldn't have a window in the current season to make moves.
Those two periods where the trade window is open shouldn't overlap.
