Jerry West SG 6'2" 190 22 West Virginia
Shooting, shooting, shooting. The man can shoot from Charleston to Wheeling and back again. Not the biggest, tallest, or fastest... but it doesn't matter... he gets the shot off from anywhere on the court and gets squared up and drains it. Great dribbler and can easily serve as the 2nd ball-handler on any unit. In love with the jumper... not so much in love with the tough stuff. His size and demeanor prevent him from being an effective rebounder, so he'll need to be paired with another wing that likes doing that kind of thing and maybe doesn't mind giving up his shots to a teammate.

Formal appeal to change his position to point guard. www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/westje01.htmlBasketball Reference refers to him as a point guard and shooting guard in the header but lists his position as PG for every individual season. With the rules in our league being listed at PG would allow him to play both but being listed at SG would not.

Also he averaged 13.3 rebounds per game during his college career, including over 16 one season, and almost 6 as a pro. Seems like an effective rebounder to me?

Voted #3 SG of all-time by ESPN.
And you lied in your post... he isn't listed as a PG in every individual season.
You are not a reliable witness.

Voted #3 SG of all-time by ESPN. Allen Iverson was voted the #6 SG of all-time by ESPN. Earl Monroe was voted the #10 SG of all-time by ESPN. Neither are listed on Basketball Reference as having spent the majority of their seasons playing point guard.

ol' zeke from cabin creek spent many years playing alongside the Gail Goodriches and Frank Selvies of the world, not to mention that Elgin Baylor was a point forward type
my take is he was neither IRL, so we should concern ourselves with how his growth will shake out in terms of TC and he's Mr. Outside, not Mr. Passing, so he's staying at SG
i agree he was a solid rebounder, so we will adjust for that
