A beast in the middle, Thurmond scores through brute force at the rim, knocking smaller players aside like gnats. Not agile enough for a drop step or any spin-move, he prefers the bulldozer approach to attacking the basket. Hasn't ever attempted a shot from further than 10' in college, lots of questions are being asked by scouts about his ability to even make a free throw. He will be an above-average rebounder, due to strength and size, for sure.
