As we approach the 12:30pm EST deadline for accepting resignings before free agency officially begins, a huge number of players looking to re-sign with their current teams are waiting for that phone call.
"I thought I made a fair offer, but I can see where I'm not wanted." Klay Thompson opined. He's not alone, though. Former MVP and Dallas Mavericks great Marcus Taylor shared similar sentiments, "Maaaaaaan f&%* sirsativa. I come in the office every day and that dude isn't ever here. Despite that I wanted to stay here, because Carolina is a decent place."
Along with Thompson and Taylor the following stars are currently left in the wind: Earl Monroe, Vlade Divac, Terrell Brandon, AJ Guyton, and Kemba Walker.

Chicago Bulls' Official Response to the Dallas Morning News report:
As many know, we have had our share of run-ins with the Dallas Morning News and what we have deemed to be many false and slanderous reports. We love Klay Thompson, and would love to have him back with this team, but at the time, we're not sure we can commit max dollars to a player we feel still has something to show us. Klay wouldn't disagree - he's admitted numerous times that he has more to give. Negotiations are ongoing and we hope to keep Klay in Chicago for the rest of his career.
Regarding the rest of the report, I believe it once again demonstrates the lack of integrity on the part of the DMN staff. They list six players who are "left in the wind": two of those players are retired and two played for a team that was contracted in the best interests of the league. Do with that information what you will.
We will have no further comment.
