This is a quarter baked idea that just came to me.
What if instead of having a robot conference, we had a minor league conference? Each human team would be allowed one team they could add human players on rookie deals to and give them whatever minutes they saw fit, the rest of the minor league team would still be filled out with robots, and at certain points in the season human teams could call up or send down players. Once a player came off their contract they'd be treated like any other FA. (If/when we expand beyond 15 human teams we would just have the minor league team in the opposite conference of its major league affiliate, and major league teams would always have first dibs on a given team name.)
PRO - makes it easier to give rookies PT PRO - gives people more things to do if they want CON - since good rookies will probably be playing in the majors in the first place, could bring the robots below .500 PRO - but since there aren't that many it would probably be a small effect even if everyone used it, which they won't CON - GMs would have to check two places to see all their players' stats PRO - no they wouldn't because of MEGAROSTERS
Thoughts welcome. I talked myself into the idea a little while making this post but only a little.

Sounds a bit like the G-League we had at 5.0's inception.
I'm all for it as long as the commish can handle it.
