Word on the street is that the Buccaneers are planning a shady induction ceremony this offseason. News of exactly what will transpire has not been able to be confirmed. Multiple rumors are swirling around many of the pertinent details.
Induction into what?
Not much has been confirmed by our sources, as multiple accounts diverge wildly in the expectations. Hearing that there may be some type of "Ring of Honor" type ceremony. However, details are scarce. Some reports indicate it is a typical player-honoring organization, but some other accounts detail that some very different could be expected. Whatever it is, BK is playing it tight to his chest.
Why?
No one is entirely sure why the Buccaneers have yet to set up a Ring of Honor style organization to honor their past elite players. One would assume that this would be the motivation, but rumors are swirling that something else is a-foot and that this will not be a typical induction ceremony.
How?
Short unconfirmed guest-lists have been obtained recently by the APP, detailing the possible attendance of many high profile celebrities and politicians. Among the guests are stars: Lori Loughlin, and Tiger Woods. Requests for comment on this story have not been returned.
Is there cheese in there?
Hearing that totals of up to 500k may be awarded or distributed in some fashion, during the induction ceremony. Sources have indicated that the amount of dark money swirling around this potential event is much higher with estimates ranging in the 5-6 million range for a seat at the table.
Who?
This is the doozy. Hearing that the player "Bill King" is awarded a prominent placement on the guest list, according to multiple sources. These sources have indicated that the list is split into two sections, one for attendees and an "other" section. Bill King appears in the "other" section.
When Bison Dele was approached for comment on not being on the guest list, he said he wasn't particularly concerned. He wasn't aware of any event, and he is sure that BK would invite him to any major offseason event, due to their public love affair. Bison, however, indicated that he hoped the event would not conflict with the Pacific Ocean trip he was planning this offseason with his brother and beard.
