dont really like this trade for the Cougars.
I was actually contemplating a trade offer that was better than this for Woods, but you only said you wanted to trade Sekou.
Seems quick triggered to pull on this trade so quickly.

So after the trade is made... Veto this, I could have made a better offer.... Well, maybe step up and ask and offer before someone has a deal in place next time. There is no collusion as I don't know H7t. This is a fair offer Dermarr is a really good SG that belongs in a outside offense and that is what he is going to run. Not sure what is unfair. On top of Dermarr he gets a pick from Portland that has a strong chance of being a top 4 pick in the draft in 14 along with another pick in shortened drafts along with 15k.

I will also add that there is this thing starting today called FA, we both wanted to know our needs going into as we both have hard cap space room to look to add multiple players

Cougars lose ~$3,000,000 in hard cap space with the trade for a player who was worth one less win share on a team that had 21 more wins last season. Qyntel and DerMarr aren't close in value.
Picks have yet to be worth anything really, and this trade doesn't even include a pick in 2015 (which I realize the Lakers don't have) in the Tim Duncan draft, which eric has continuously pointed to as the first "elite" prospect he'll make.

over the last three years woods is .17 ws/48, johnson is .15, so johnson is a slight downgrade all else being equal.
but all else isn't equal, because h7t has two good SFs 6'9"+, so he either has to bring one off the bench or play one at PF. if it was me i would try woods at PF, but i also probably haven't made a trade where i received firsts in 50 seasons so the eric standard isn't generally applicable.
trailblazers were a 44 win team last year, so they're right on the cusp of where the new lotto will be, although obviously with contraction waivers it's hard to really say where anyone will be this year, let alone next year.
as amnesties become more valuable in the tightened cap environment so do dump bucks, so those are a material consideration too.
trade is not vetoed.
.
re: duncan, to be clear i have only ever talked about tim duncan as an elite player, because he's a top ten all time player.

On top of Dermarr he gets a pick from Portland that has a strong chance of being a top 4 pick in the draft in 14 along with another pick in shortened drafts along with 15k. I would understand your point had it not been for the fact H7T posted a trade block specifically for another player at the same position. And besides that, it all happened late last night and the trade was posted this morning before there was much opportunity to look over a possible trade. To assume that you know anything about where and how good any picks will be moving forward is just stupid. Major players moved teams and the league is more wide open than ever. Maybe the picks end up high, and maybe you end up with a decent player. Recent drafts have shown there arent many (any?) stars coming into the league right off the bat. And aside from all that, I just think that Woods is by far a better player than Dermarr. Which is also besides the point that the commissioner made a statement to the fact that Woods would probably look really good at PF to H7T before he made the trade. Woods is better, more productive, younger and you have lower cap hits for the next couple years. I was never calling for a veto, simply I dont think its a good trade for H7T nor the league as it significantly helps the defending champs.
