01/18 playoffs happen as normal 01/19 draft starts, contracted teams owed picks honored and owned picks skipped. at 3 PM waiver eligible players will be posted in list order 01/21 1 PM waivers run, updated eligible list posted 01/21 8 PM waivers run, any player not claimed retires. rosters uploaded with new division structure 01/22 1 PM FA day 1 bids due schedule returns to normal
for all 2013+ picks owed from contracted teams, the team's place in reverse win% this year will be recorded. for example the worst team in the league would be #1 and the best team would be #29
during the 2013-2016 drafts there will be a supplemental round halfway through the first round human picks (rounded down in case of an odd number of human GMs, e.g. after the 7th pick in a 13 team draft). all owed picks will be made in this supplemental round in the above order.
all 2013+ picks owed to contracted teams are forfeit

Can’t we put unclaimed players into FA? How are you going to conduct waivers with multiple bids on multiple players. Are you going to have people prioritize their selections? Just unsure how you are going to do that. We could literally do a contraction draft at the same time of normal draft. I think it will be easier for people to visualize who is taken and prioritize off that.

I guess we will just send a list of all players we would want to claim. Order them in the order you would want first?

Based off the conversation in chat, it looks like waivers is the way we are going. I don’t know if going down the list based off salary is not the most fair way to go. I know Eric does a lot for us behind the scenes and this is probably the easiest method for him but I think I have a way to do this that will make sense.
1) Eric sends spreadsheet of available players.
2) everyone labels the top of the next free column with their moniker. Marks a number going from 1 to whatever in order of their preference of that player.
3) collect all the spreadsheets and combine them into one spreadsheet and put the columns in waiver order. Meaning left to right highest to lowest waiver priority.
4) give highest waiver their top priority and move down the columns, then rotate back around once you get through all the columns.

I didn’t phrase 2 the best, they order the players they want and not all the players.

This way if a team obtains a player and is up against the cap they can pull their remaining bids

A great example would be RJ Cole and Skylar Diggins. RJ makes more and in your method would be taken off the board first. Let’s say someone wants a PG prefers Diggins but would be ok with Cole. If they don’t put in for Cole, they could lose him to someone lower on the waiver list and when it comes to Diggins they could lose her to someone higher on the waiver list. In this above example the person can list 1) Diggins 2) Cole they would still lose Diggins but they would get Cole.

re a question from text
free agents are free agents. contracted teams will not resign any players.
