I think we need to discuss potentially creating a really badass reward for recruiting new GM's to the league that will be active and stay around for a season.
Something that will really give everyone an incentive to keep the league full.
Like a buttload of dump bucks and bonus upgrades and maybe a free season of upgrades.
Thoughts?

I think a free bonus reward outside of the +30 you can get every year is the best possible reward and I 100% vote that we implement something like that.

I think it needs to be a reward that is better than just that.
Something people will do sketchy shit over.

We need GMs offering to blow other dudes in west LA to get them to sign up and GM for a few seasons.

Give them extra hard cap space for every season their recruit is in the league.

came up in shout
i think a tiered system makes the most sense
new GM posts a DC on time -> old GM gets 2000 bucks new GM DC is perfect -> old GM gets 2000 bucks new GM trades a player (except to old GM) -> old GM gets 5000 bucks new GM has a trade vetoed -> old GM loses 20000 bucks new GM signs an FA listed in an FA preview article (except by old GM) -> old GM gets +5 that can exceed the GM yearly cap new GM writes an article that earns at least 5000 -> old GM gets +5 that can exceed the GM yearly cap
you get the idea

You get 2,000 bucks for writing a ticker, which IMO is a lot less effort than recruiting a new GM and holding their hand through each step of this process. I like the tiered system, but would favor an additional +3 or +5 or something for each of the steps mentioned above. That bonus could be used in the same way the championship bonus is, but perhaps only one extra bonus per player so you can't give someone an additional +20 or whatever.

I don't think dump bucks are enough.

We can't ever recruit real GMs but maybe a reward that is actually really good will incentivize people to try harder to recruit. i also definitely think it's a bad idea to have any reward exceed player cap except championship because of how powerful it is. I mean I don't know the software but is +28 going to be THAT much different than +25 from that perspective? It seems like it'd give real incentive without ruining the league.
