It worked fine before Duc’s 2nd rounder was on his roster.
The trade was agreed upon before Duc drafted that player.

Hmmm... trade should have worked $2,992,571 (Noel) $4,000,000 (Stockton) $465,850 (Lockheart) $5,239,716 (Cap pre-pick) $12,698,137 > 12,463,750 (Price)

Mark Price's Salary: 12,463,750 Celtics only have 8 players on roster pre-trade. Why didn't the trade work?

duc needs $5,005,329 in cap to not go over the soft cap and trigger the 15% requirement duc with his second rounder only has $4,906,899 and fwiw per checker.atspace.com/ it should work in the scenario ank describes the best bet here is probably to sign a scrub to a fake MLE on a computeam, trade it to duc for 1000 dump bucks, then duc can match regardless
