figured we should have a thread so I can put a link the header and bk can tell me how terrible this will be
All teams outside of the playoffs + the 8 seeds will be in the lottery. All teams will have an equal chance at the #1 pick. I'm honestly just going to take a list of teams and put in random.org. Will stream it so people can watch.

My suggestion would be to put top 15 teams in random.org and the top 4 are the top 4 picks, 5-15 follow how a weighted lotto would have gone. That way top 4 picks are equal odds, but there is still some floor for the worst teams' picks.

people would still tank because they could reliably get the 5th pick by bottoming out That is definitely the risk. It could be top 7 or 8. Just some way to provide a floor for the worst teams that is better than 1.15. If we're all fine without that floor, I think a 15 to 1 reveal would be fun. |

I agree with Heebs on this. Lottery should set 1-4 or 1-5 or whatever, but the rest should be rank ordered after that. I think that should still effectively kill tanking.

i want to try all 15. if it's horrible we'll change it to top 5. if that's horrible we'll go back to the old way. if that is horrible we'll go to wheel or rookie fa.

top 4-5 teams still incentivizes teams to actively get worse for no reason then to get a worse record.
