As the 2006 season marches forward at a brisk pace that includes weekends, we see some interesting developments before us. The Kings, who had been pegged to finish outside the playoffs for the first time in BK's annual preseason predictions, are now one of the top teams in the West. Some huge overplay by our wings and guards are giving us momentum for the playoffs and beyond. Rui Hachimura's departure was going to signal a "refresh" of sorts, with an abundance of picks and expiring deals in two years, the last chance BK had to assemble a core around Gragg. Well, it looks like it's already happened. Jason Williams looks like my last chance at a point guard while Gragg is still fresh, and Steven Adams is bringing D/R bigs back. Look for Gragg to make the All-TMBSL 1st team this year, and the Kings to have their best shot at a title in 5.0 history. This article would be amiss if I did not mention losing the Billy King's favorite King, Jalen Brunson. Having fallen down the depth chart due to the ascension of JWill, he became fodder for more rebuilding assets for the Kings. BK looked him in the eye when he left, grabbed his hand and whispered "it's not over yet". It's not over yet, Jalen. ;)
