A) you dont agree to a deal and then continue discussing the player with other GMs
b) you make it known to the person you accepted the deal from that you have received other offers and continued to negotiate
c) let that person know another offer is better and give parameters on how they still have a chance at aquiring player that you agreed to trade them

i could easily keep fucking going on but ultimately you dont be a scumbag and cut out the person you already ACCEPTED A DEAL FROM

 There was no accepted deal. You asked his price. I told you his price. Odin then offered triple my price, I jumped on it. 


I wanted to hop on this deal because it's quite a good one. Maybe there's some inside info about Mitchell I don't know but oh well.

I'm curious, why so much love for Mitchell? His grades and production are decent maybe even good but nothing more.

Even with the info I would have traded him for this deal. But, everyone seems to know something I don't.

Blocks are relatively high for the way the league is now. Solid efficiency for a big. Rebounding isn't a huge hole. He's also 21 on a 3 year deal that's highly cost-controlled. Great role player for a contending team that needs to spend money elsewhere.

that is how 75% of my trade negotiations and acceptances happen. this is the first time i have had anyone back out like this on me.

I just as easily could have immediately made the post and tagged him, which im fairly certain he would have accepted at that point, but I thought I would see if he had a preference on the year

I was under the assumption we were good, I had no knowledge he was even considering another offer. 

so yes, it was infuriating to lose out on a guy i thought i had already acquired.

he's legit good and young and you would have birds when he came off his deal, plus he was well timed with jake whereas even if you get a lotto in 08 and even if it hits they'll be that much further away on the development curve.

He never backed out because he didn't tell you he accepted.
