*Editors note: I didn't include teams own picks because that was a bit too much and obviously the picks of teams outside the playoffs or with older rosters would hold a lot of value.
When valuing players I took into consideration: age, contract, position and upgrades left.
to TimPig for the logos.
Harlem Globetrotters
Best Asset: Dazon Ingram
-Schayes and Della Donne are better players right now, but I like Ingram as the Globetrotters best asset since he is still only 26, one of the better SGs in the league and on a total sweetheart deal of 5 years for 47.9 mil. His only drawbacks are that he doesn’t shoot threes very well and is now maxed on upgrades.
The Rest:
1. Dolph Schayes
-One of the elites and best two-way players in the league, but is now 30 and owed 62 mil over the next few seasons. Hypothetically, If Ward were to blow it up to sell he should get a good young player back and 3 or 4 future draft picks.
2. Elvis Della Donne
-Isn’t far from Ingram or Schayes in terms of value, Della Donne just isn’t on a great deal (2 years for 36 mil) like Ingram or among the overall elites like Schayes.
3. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
-No eye popping stats yet and looks like he needs work on his scoring volume. But he’s a rookie and they always have value.
4. Dillon Chambers
-Not great, but not terrible either and he is still only 25. He’d be a nice throw in piece added to deal where Ward could try to land a PG.
Miami Heat
Best Asset: Ray McCallum Jr
-22 year old, rookie PG that can already score with high volume and doesn’t look to have any flaws. McCallum isn’t just the Heat’s best asset, he’s one of the best assets in the league and top 15 overall.
The Rest:
1. DerMarr Johnson
-I'm higher on DerMarr’s overall value more than Zion’s right now because of his contract and position. His main flaw of turnovers is the same as Zion’s. Johnson at least still has +15 left. If and when those are fixed, Johnson could become one of the best wings in the league.
2. Zion Williamson
-Would be most teams best asset by far, but in this case Zion has the misfortune of playing on a team with two of the best young players in the league. He’s having a hell of a start to the season so far. If it weren’t for the ridiculously high turnovers for a big (3.2 a game for his career) he’d be a top 5 player in the league.
3. Benji Wilson
-He was pretty shitty last season, and has 4 years left on a max deal, but he’s still 29 and so many teams need wing help that I think he does still have some value. Worth maybe a couple weaker firsts or one decent future first.
4. Chris Mihm
-D/R big with good blocks, and has all +25 left. Would probably be worth a first individually and nice piece to include in a potential big trade.
5. Bones McKinney
-Good third wing that doesn’t have any glaring flaws and on a pretty cheap deal (2 years – 12 mil).
6. Robert Williams
-Another D/R bigs with more blocks but more expensive deal. He just went for a future first a few days ago.
New York Knicks
Best Asset: Firsto Picko
-Probably one of the 2 or 3 best players in the league and a top 5 asset overall. Only 28 and on a bargain 4 year – 67.5 mil deal. No chance Eric trades him but if he did, he would need to get back two very good young players and a few potential lotto first round picks.
The Rest:
1. Jock Landale
- There’s a good reason why Landale has been in a couple big recent deals, first to the Bulls for Dazon Ingram, then to the Knicks for a few futures, Herb Jones and Stan Haynes. He’s a quaility big, only 29, on a great deal of 4 years - 42 million, and a two-time champion. Eric won’t trade him now that he’s home, but if he did it would need to be for a very good wing since Eric doesn’t seem to care for draft picks.
2. Whitey Von Nieda
-Solid 28 year old wing that had a great first couple sims (21.4 PPG and 7.8 RPG), Eric recently put a cool +25 into his inside scoring which would explain the scoring surge. Whitey is also signed to a cap friendly 7 year – 35 mil deal. If his scoring remains this high I’d have him as the Knicks best asset behind Firsto.
3. George Mikan
-Still one of the best scoring bigs in the league at 31 years old, on a not so friendly 3 year – 63 mil deal, but he still has a little value. Maybe worth a first from a title contender if Eric was looking to shed that contract.
Orlando Magic
Best Asset: Cameron Parker
-The good, Parker scores with good volume and can shoot threes, is one of the best rebounders in the league, decent defensively and is on a nice (2 year – 26 mil deal). The bad, he’s now 30 and has major turnover issues (3 a game for his career). I know Skrouse put a block up for him recently and think he should fetch a return of 2 or 3 future first round picks (not good ones). He’d be well worth acquiring if you are one player away from contending and need some low post scoring.
The Rest:
1. Nick King
-A good, seemingly well-rounded wing on a cheap 1 year deal (7.3 mil) with +15 left and at 30 years old still has a few good years left. Only drawback is his perimeter defense must be less than 20 since he averaged 1 SPG and 1 BPG last season with C- defense. I think he’d worth a decent first or two on the open market.
2. Jake Shuttlesworth
-Was still one of the better wings in the league last season at 34 years old, but it looks like he regressed a bit in preseason and is on a 4 year deal worth 57 mil. Probably still worth a future first.
3. Thomas Wilder
-Serviceable 30 year old starting PG on an MLE, worth some bucks.
4. Brandon Griner
-I’m not sure I’d even really consider Griner an asset at this point because he’s 31 and is still owed 81 mil over the next 5 years. But with his defense and scoring, he was too good not list. I think he’s only worth matching expirings and some dump bucks, maybe a first if Skrouse were to take back a little long term salary.
Washington Bullets
Best Asset: Simisola Shittu
-One of the best players in the league, and probably the best two-way big. Last season he averaged 26 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 2.6 BPG and 1.4 SPG, he’d probably be contender for the people’s MVP vote if the Bullets had more team success. Shittu is still just 23 years old, has +14 left and would be worth a fortune if Kn were to trade him. I know Odin really wants him and one of the few teams with the assets to get something done.
The Rest:
1. Ricardo Strong
-Who the hell is this guy and where did he come from? His rebounding is garbage (4.2 RPG), but he’s averaging 1.8 bleals and 16.8 PPG on very good percentages. He’s only 19 years old and has +25 left, only bad thing is he’s on an expiring 4.5 mil deal and doesn’t have birds. Even without birds I think he’s worth a couple future picks to gamble that he offers to resign.
2. Reggie Bullock
-I was really high on Bullock going into this draft due to Druce’s UNC fandom. He’s got good grades and all of his upgrades left. I’m expecting him to be a player that really blows up after his second or third TC. If Kn wanted to get an experienced wing to help him right now with Obama and Shittu, Bullock would be a good piece to offer in a trade.
3. Charles Barkley
-Not great, but not a complete bust like Ian says. He still has +15 left that could be put into his inside scoring or threes. The main reasons I don’t have him second is because he’s expiring.
4. Mike Miller
-Second year player that many were high on during last year’s draft, doesn’t look like he has all-star potential, but he does have +19 left. He’s the type of asset that would be well used in a big trade.
5. Rashard Lewis
-Wow Kn really hasn’t had too much luck with the players he’s been drafting in the lotto. Not looking great but he does have +20 left. Like Mike Miller he’d be best used as a complimentary piece in a big trade.
Washington Wizards
Best Asset: Troy Brown
-Not having as good a start as his season last year, but he’s still one of the better SGs in the league. He’s 25 years old and on a nice 3 year – 36 mil deal. If HT were to trade him (highly unlikely) Brown would fetch one of the better returns anyone could expect, like a couple really nice prospects on rookie deals or 3-4 firsts that have lotto potential.
The Rest:
1. Isiah Canaan
-If it weren’t for Ray McCallum Jr, Canaan would be the PG prospect from this draft that everyone wanted. His shooting hasn’t been great these first couple sims, but he still looks good and has great grades along with all of his upgrades left. #FasBomb: Wizrds tried to trade the Clippers Canaan, this year’s Clipper first and a few Wizards firsts for RJ Cole. If the Clippers were entertaining the idea of selling Cole, they probably would have taken this deal largely because of Canaan.
2. Clippers 06 First
-Our first draft pick mentioned!!! Clippers look okay so far, but they are in the stacked West and could easily be the eighth seed again or even out of the playoffs which would give the Wiz another lotto pick from the Simons trade.
3. Timberwolves 06 First
-Timberwolves are basically in the same spot as the Clippers and will be fighting for one of the bottom four seeds in West’s playoff picture.
4. Jontay Porter
-Porter is a good scorer and rebounder (25 PPG and 12 RPG so far), he’s still only 24, but maxed out on upgrades and his deal is expiring. HT does currently have birds which helps Porter’s value. I think he’s worth a decent first right now.
5. Arvydas Sabonis
-I do like Sabonis, he just may be a little overpaid with that 6 year – 76 mil deal and his upgrades are maxed out. Still though, he’s only 25 years old and averaging 18.9 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 1.3 BPG and .6 SPG. I think a future first round pick would be fair value for him right now.
6. Anthony Bennett
-20 year old rookie with really nice grades (B+ B D+ B B+ B) I like him to become a good offense only big and a good piece to use right now in a trade for a star. All upgrades are available.
7. Hedo Turkoglu
-He’s not looking good so far, and may have had a disastrous TC, but I still think he’s worth something based on his rookie season numbers. With +20 left, there is still hope and could be used like Bennett in a trade.
Atlanta Hawks
Best Asset: Deng Adel
-I went with Adel over Knox and Robinson because of Adel’s sweet 5 year – 56 mil deal. He’s a really well-rounded two-way wing, the only real knock that could made against him is that you’d like to see more than 24 PPG to be considered one of the best in the league. If Adel were traded JHB would need to get back a high level prospect on a rookie deal and a couple good picks, or Adel could be used in a deal for one of the elite players in the league.
The Rest:
1. Kevin Knox
-Knox bounced back in sim 2 after a really rough first sim, this was a very good max given out by JHB as Knox is one of the better young SFs in the league. By himself I think Knox would deserve a return of at least a few good future firsts.
2. Mitchell Robinson
-Robinson isn’t elite by any means, but a good two-way big that is deserving of that max deal right now due to his shot blocking (2.7 BPG). Probably worth a couple decent firsts or a quality young player and mediocre first.
3. Benji Hammon
-35 year old, that’s going to retire any season now, but even with the turnovers (3.7 TOPG) he’s still putting up numbers that should make him a top 10 PG in win shares. Great rental for a team trying to win a title this year, like I don’t know the Mavs.
4. Chris Chiozza
-Not a great asset with that 2 year – 28 mil deal, but he is playing pretty well after JHB put a bunch of upgrades into him and is worth trading for if you’re really desperate for a PG. Some bucks, expiring and maybe even a first round pick could probably get it done.
5. Pascal Chukwu
-D/R big that can rebound and hardly ever shoots, that’s worth some bucks.
Charlotte Hornets
Best Asset: Giannis Antetokounmpo
-Guys let Fecta enjoy this, it's been a real struggle for him so far. Giannis looks great though and like a legit top tier two-way player. I get people questioning his scoring potential since he's maxed inside, has gone to volume camp, and had 23 put into his strength, but with natural growth I don't see why he can't realistically get to 25 PPG by the end of his rookie deal. Even if he stays at 20 PPG for his career, his rebounding and defense should grow enough to give him incredible value. Not sure Giannis is a top 10 asset overall just yet, but he's definitely in the top 15-20.
The Rest:
Vince Carter
-I really like Carter and think he's capable of averaging 25 PPG on a playoff team. But he doesn't shoot well enough yet for me to consider him an elite player, it's not like he's good rebounder or defender and he's maxed out on upgrades. He'll get maxed next offseason if he makes it to free agency and would probably be worth a sizeable haul of two good prospects and a couple firsts with lotto potential if traded.
2. Trailblazers 06 First
-Blazers are currently the 7th seed in the stacked West and will probably be fighting for the 5th-8th seed, this could very easily end up a lotto pick.
3.Suns 09 First
-Hakeem is expiring, Pierce, Templeton and McRae are all getting up there in age. Even if Hakeem stays with the Suns, they could be an eighth seed contender in a few seasons.
4. Mavericks 10 First
-Neon is old, Harrington expires in next offseason, Reddish may have peaked and the Mavs will still probably be looking for a PG. This pick has an outside chance of being in the lotto.
5. Mavericks 09 First
-Not a bad pick, but not as good as Mavs 10.
6. Hawks 06 First
-Hawks are a good team this year, this pick probably ends up in the late teens at best.
Cleveland Cavaliers
*This easily the worst situation in the league, nice job @compugm.
Best Asset: DeeAndre Hulett
- the ladder seemed to really love him and he's the biggest player in the league. His stats are far from great, but he does have all upgrades left. I think Druce would trade him for the Cavs if somebody offered a first or two.
The Rest:
1. Stojko Vrankovic
-I'm still a Stojko fan, yes he doesn't block shots, but he's averaging 21 PPG on great shooting and 9 RPG. He has all of his upgrades keft and there is plenty to work with on those grades (A- B C+ B C+ C). Fix his handles then try to get his scoring to 25 PPG and you'll have a very useful player. He's also on a cheap 3 year -13 mil deal. He's worth and could probably easily be had for a future first.
2. Udoka Azubuike
-It's been well stated that I'm not a fan of Azubuike, but this roster is barren. He's worth some bucks or a weak first for a team that needs a third big or desperate for scoring.
3. Yirmiyaho Iair
-30 year old wing on basically a two year rookie deal, he'd make a very good third wing or could even be a not so terrible starting SF. Like Azubuike, probably worth some bucks or weak first.
4. Ken Nielsen
-Druce thought highly enough of him that he signed him to a 3 year - 13 mil deal, so he can't be that bad.
5. Nemanja Nedovic
-Druce thought highly enough of him to put some +10 into him, so he can't be that bad.
6. Kelly Olynyk
-Rookie with good scoring grades (B-/A-) so there is a little value there, but C- defense from a big is pretty terrible.
Chicago Bulls
Best Asset: Antawn Jamison
-Big fan of Jamison right here, in his third season he’s already a really good SF and one of the best young players in the league. Tim is one of the most active in the league when it comes to trades, but I doubt he trades Jamison while on his rookie deal. If he did, he’d get back one of the bigger returns or be able to trade for one of the best players in the league since Jamison is a top 10 asset overall currently IMO.
The Rest:
1. Mohamed Bamba
-What a luxury to have one of the best big men in the league as your next best asset. So far this season, Bamba is averaging 25 PPG, 12.8 RPG, 2.8 BPG and 1.6 SPG. If he can keep these scoring numbers up that would put him right there with Shittu as the 1a and 1b two-way bigs in the league. He’s only 25 and has another four years left on his max deal, he’d get Tim back some high really quality picks and/or young players in a trade, not that I’d expect Tim to move him unless Odin throws down a ridiculous offer.
2. Desmond Mason
-Not spectacular by any means, but looks extremely well-rounded besides the three point shooting which could grow with TCs. Mason is only averaging 15.6 PPG with that A- outside which means he has very high jumping, but that is good for long term scoring potential. I could easily see him becoming the type of wing that averages 23 PPG, 8 RPG and 2 bleals. #FasBomb: Clippers asked about Mason in negotiations for Jake Shuttlesworth, Clippers were told Mason would not be moved due to pride when it came to a dispute with Charlotte’s GM. Can’t say I blame the Bulls for wanting to hold onto Mason.
3. Herb Jones
-The best defensive wing in the league and a good get by Tim in the Landale trade. Has +10 left that could really be used anywhere but blocks. I’d like Jones a lot more and as the Bulls third best asset if his deal wasn’t expiring. Right now he’s probably worth a good first or couple okay ones.
4. Sarunas Jasikevicius
-Solid young PG putting up decent numbers without being a focal point in the offense. He still has 2 years left on his rookie deal and +10 left in upgrades, I don’t think he’ll ever become a 25 PPG player, but he should remain solid. Worth a couple firsts by himself, and probably better used as a complimentary piece in a deal for a better PG.
5. Marcus Fizer
-Decent two-way big prospect with +15 left to be used on his jumper and 3 years remaining on his rookie deal. Currently worth a couple mediocre firsts, but I know that Tim sees him as his long term PF.
6. Knicks 10 First
-Eric has a really good team right now but most of his core are in their late 20s – early 30s, maybe the Knicks drop to eighth seed contention by the 09 season and this pick has lotto potential.
7. Stan Haynes
-36 years old on an expiring deal so he could retire any season, but he’d be a great rental for a title contending team or as a valuable salary piece moving in a bigger deal. If traded individually he could probably get back an okay first.
8. Solomon Hill
-Rookie wing with really nice grades (C+ B+ C B B- B), that could blow up in future TCs. Just a complimentary trade piece right now.
9. Knicks 09 First
-Knicks should still be in a solid playoff contender in 08, this pick is probably in the teens at best.
10. Knicks 08 First
-This is probably in the 20s range and could be sold for bucks.
Detroit Pistons
Best Asset: Shamorie Ponds
-I was not planning to have Ponds as the Pistons best asset and thought I'd talk about disagreeing with Dump accepting Ponds offer to sign for a max because of Ponds’ below average FG%. But then I saw Ponds has +18 left that could be put into his three point shooting and now I like him because he can score with good volume (25 PPG) , rebounds very well (6.9 RPG), plays good defense (2.5 SPG) and doesn’t have horrible handles (2.3 TOPG). If a team was committed to using that +18 right away I think Ponds would be worth a decent return of a 2 or 3 decent quality first round picks. Sorry for ever doubting you Dump.
The Rest:
1. Jackie Moon
-Still balling at 33 years old, and on a fair 2 year – 10 mil deal. Moon’s another guy that would be a great hired gun for a team trying to contend for a title these next two seasons. Probably worth 1 good first or 2 decent ones.
2. Dzanan Musa
-Musa is a decent young player with good two-way potential on a very a cheap two year deal and has all of his upgrades left. Don’t see Dump trading him, but if he were a couple firsts would be a fair return.
3. Mark Alarie
-Ladder darling and face of the Pistons franchise that is on a very cheap deal that also has all of his upgrades left. Probably worth a similar type of deal to what Fecta got for Shareef O’Neal for last offseason.
4. Peyton Siva
-Siva is looking like a feisty prospect with his grades (C B+ B C+ C- C) and okay stats in very limited minutes. Nice project for Dump to groom long term or use in a trade if he plans to keep Ponds for the long haul.
5. Yommy Sangodeyi
-Basically a poor man’s version of Udoka Azuibuke with the high scoring and poor free throw shooting. Difference is Yommy doesn’t block shots, as in he literally doesn’t block shots, his career high is .1 BPG which he’s done the last couple years. He’s worth some bucks if you need low post scoring since he’s still on a cheap rookie deal.
Indiana Pacers
Best Asset: Victor Oladipo
-No idea why I’m talking about him because Heebs would never trade him, but if Heebs did, Oladipo’s ability to play PG would give him enough value to be used in a trade offer for a top 10 player. I consider Oladipo a top 15 asset.
The Rest:
1. Daniel Taurasi
-Elite player, and will be a people’s vote MVP candidate for the next few seasons, but he’s owed 144 mil over the next 7 seasons, which will probably scare some teams away. With Seventh Woods and Oladipo as his backcourt of the future, I could really see Heebs trying to move Taurasi this year or next for a wing and big that are closer in age to his backcourt. If only the Bulls and Pacers weren’t in the same division.
2. Magic 08 First
-There’s a reason Heebs didn’t include this pick in his offer for Oladipo, this is a nice asset with lotto potential because of Orlando’s aging core. Heebs tends to hold onto other teams’ picks that he owns, but if he were to use it in a trade it would hold quite a bit of value and could be the centerpiece in a deal.
3. Morris Peterson
-Good second year wing prospect averaging 21 PPG right now after having +25 put into his inside. Doesn’t look like a future star, but should always be a solid starter at SG. Worth a few decent firsts.
4. Seventh Woods
-Good young PG putting up impressive numbers so far 22 PPG on good shooting percentages, and he has all of his upgrades left. Only thing is he is expiring so that makes it difficult to trade for him when there may be a team out there wiling to max him this offseason. Maybe worth a couple decent firsts right now, or packaged with that Orlando pick for a very good player.
5. Donta Hall
-Hall is one of the better shot blockers in the league, only 26 and on a somewhat cap friendly deal of 3 years – 23 mil. He could bring back a decent pick or two in a trade.
6. Bol Bol
-Solid D/R big on an MLE that can be extended, probably not worth a first by himself, but could be used with other pieces in a deal. Heebs has some high quality assets, if only he were here to see them all.
Milwaukee Bucks
Best Asset: DeAndre Ayton
-Great player, still really young at 25 years old, and still has a +5 left. I feel bad for him that he’s had to deal with the ghost of Trofie managing his career. Would command a huge return if traded for since he is a top 10 asset.
The Rest:
1. Champ Godbolt
-22 year old with very good grades (B B- C+ A- B B) and has all of his upgrades left. Trofie would have to log in or answer texts in order for him to be traded so good luck. Since Godbolt’s deal is expiring, he’s probably only worth another good young player or a couple quality picks. He’ll definitely get maxed this offseason.
2. Shavon Shields
-Decent wing that has all of his upgrades left, but is already 30. Probably worth only one first round pick of any quality right now.
3. Ben McLemore
-Rookie with pretty good scoring grades (B-/B) and possibly really high potential. Obviously has all of his upgrades left, but probably not worth too much on his own right now due to needing quite a bit of work to his inside scoring.
Toronto Raptors
Best Asset: Cuttino Mobley
-I like Mobley more than Bridges because of the cap friendly rookie deal and he plays good defense with the 2.4 SPG to go along with 21 PPG on great shooting percentages. Only has +6, but is still quietly one of the better young wings in the league and a very good trade asset. Raptors are in building mode so I can't see him being moved, but could be the main piece in a trade for a legit star or moved for 4 or 5 future firsts if sold off.
The Rest:
1. Miles Bridges
-Good scorer (26.6 PPG) with decent two-way ability (1.8 bleals) and at 25 is well worth the max deal he's on. Only flaw with Bridges is that he's maxed out on upgrades. If Breaux were to move him, he should be able to get back a couple good young players or 3-4 firsts that all have some potential to land in the lotto.
2. Cody Zeller
-Putting up good stats in limited minutes and looks like one of the better young big prospects in the league, also has all +25 left. The shooting, rebounding and handles are all there already. All his upgrades could be used on his inside and blocks to make him a high quality starting big. Right now he's worth a couple firsts and could be used as a main piece in a move for a really good player.
3. Magic 07 First
-Orlando's firsts have good value, this one is probably one of the least valuable since they should still be competing for a top 7 seed next season.
4. Carsen Edwards
-Would be a good backup PG for some bucks, he's on a friendly 2 year - 10.3 mil and has some upside with all of his upgrades still available.
5. Pacers 08 First
-Pacers have a good young core with Taurasi, but some of them will be expiring in the next couple seasons. Probably won't be a lotto pick, but maybe it ends up in the teens.
6. Pacers 07 First
-Pick should be somewhere in the 20s and could be sold for bucks.
7. Pacers 06 First
-This pick probably ends up being in the 20-25 range at best.
8. Jazz 06 First
-This pick looks like a lock to be 1.28 at best.
When valuing players I took into consideration: age, contract, position and upgrades left.

Atlantic Divsion
Boston Celtics
Best Asset: Sekou Doumbouya
-#FreeSekou, good SF that is amazingly only 23 years old. Yes, his offensive numbers may be a little inflated because of his teammates, but he’d be a good second option on a title contending team. He still has +5 left that could be used to cut down those turnovers (1.9 TOPG for his career). The Celtics are kind of a mess after they accepted some unkind resigns. I think it would be in their best interest to use Sekou to rid themselves of that Wendell Carter deal (4 year max) and still get back a few quality assests like future firsts, players still on rookie deals and expiring deals. Wouldn’t fault Avogato for keeping him though.
The Rest:
1. Mark Price
-At the time I didn’t like that resign Avogato had accepted (6 years – 71 mil), but Price stats through the first two sims have been good, he has +18 left and Odin seemed to be pretty high on him. If he keeps these numbers up he has decent bit of value and probably worth a couple firsts.
2. Dennis Schroeder
-He was just a top 5 pick (somehow), only 20 years old and has all of his upgrades left to be used on his scoring/shooting. There’s no reason for him to be traded but if he was, he’d be a decent piece included in a bigger deal for a star.

The Central
