The 10k would be removed for every non-playoff team. Therefore passive GMs would have the leg up, assuming that we wouldn't grant free upgrades for the lotto drops to GM-less teams. Right - so a passive GM in the playoffs would be on equal footing with a GM-less team in the playoffs and a passive GM not in the playoffs would be on equal footing with a GM-less team not in the playoffs. Either give the GM-less teams access to their dump bucks rewards and no +20, or a +20 and don't bother with their dump buck rewards. But GM-less teams shouldn't get their dump bucks AND a free +20. I think we're in agreement - I'm in favor of GM-less teams getting a free +20, but I just don't see their box score rewards ever being significant when they're winning 12 games per season, therefore I'm indifferent to them getting that money. |

Imo give the GM-less teams their boxscore rewards without the eric tax, then allow the commish to upgrade guys with those said banks. Then when a new commish comes in, they get the startup newbie package of 10k bank and the free upgrades to jump start their careers. This works for me and makes the most sense I think. IMO they should also get upgrade points when they drop in the lotto. |

How many dump bucks are we even talking about the Spurs or Cavs accumulating here? And why is the baseline passive GMs who arent active outside of doing the minimum?

Removing the top 5 assuming they spent 30 points each gives us an average of 9.36 per team, not far from 15. If we're removing the top 5 then lets also remove the bottom 5 and assume they spent 0, 1086/19/4= 14.3 |

I'm all for letting them get the full 30. If someone isn't running the team, don't let the potentially good players on the roster suffer from a lack of attention.

I moved Shaun and MJ into the Former GMs section and put "Open" under the Cavs and Spurs with a 10k bank. New GMs came in and got 10k, so not sure if that's where you want these banks to start. |
