Hornets general manager Muzunga is actively pursuing sign-and-trade opportunities with Creation Draft 1.2 pick R.J. Barrett.
The asking price for Barrett, who reportedly feels deserving of a max deal, is a future first-round draft pick and an expiring contract.
"Look, R.J. is a centerpiece you can build a team around," said the Hornets' clearly desperate GM. "We have no regrets in selecting him ahead of the likes of DeAndre Ayton, Gary Bossert, Dolph Schayes, Firsto Picko, or any of the other players who have been named all-stars to this point."
"He's already a superstar, there's no question about it," Fecta continued.
When pressed for reasons as to why he's seeking trade partners for his "star" player, the Hornets GM let the TMBSL Gazette know that he was already minutes late for his scheduled afternoon run and would have no further comment.
