Really not sure what the Wiz got out of this transaction. There may not have been better offers for Simons, but I also don't see the need to move a good contract when cap space isn't an issue already.

simons has been garbage prior to this year and nothing in the grades screams elite scorer
if he turns back into a pumpkin, money for free
if he does turn out to be good, well, these are the breaks

My thoughts were similar to Erics. I placed bids on Simons in FA thinking I may see some TC success and it would be a steal, but then he went like -3 in TC. Still has decent grades and pretty good stats but I believe they are a bit inflated due to my team. SO when Fason sent over the offer it was a no brainer in my head even if the picks wont be great you never know and the 10K in timpig pennies for upgrades was nice. Plus the salary coming in is all expiring so theres another 6 mil for FA this year lol.
If he turns out to blow up in TC next year and get some points pushed into him and becomes a beast, Ill regret it but I don't see that happening.
