This FA class doesn't look as strong as last season's, but it is still a strong class with quite a few young players that should get a max.
Andre Turner PG 24 5’11 160 C+ A- B+ B+ D A
-This is who I believe is the top FA in this class because of his age, current scoring production (26.3 PPG) and still has +17 left. Most importantly, Odin has stated that Turner is the best player he’s made besides Hakeem.
Miles Bridges SG 23 6’7 230 B+ A- C B- C+ B
-An elite 23 year old wing that does everything well for a SG and still has +5 left. Max him if you have the space.
Jock Landale C 27 6’11 260 A- C D+ B- B C
-This is easy, Landale is one of the elite bigs in the league offensively. And it’s not like his defense is bad, averaging 1.1 SPG and .8 BPG is solid in 5.0. The only real knocks against him could be that he’s maxed out on upgrades and only averages 8.2 RPG, but his rebounding should still grow with TCs.
RJ Cole PG 22 6’2 175 B- A B C+ C A
-Yea so this guy is an ELITE prospect. He is probably the best player in the league that nobody talks about, he’s averaging 21.7 PPG on shooting splits of 51.1/91.3/44.5 with 5.1 RPG, 7 APG, 1 SPG and only 2.3 TOPG. And he’s 22! And he has A shown potential! And he has all of his upgrades! And poor Breaux doesn’t have his birds rights! MAX!
Max Zaslofsky PG 26 6’3 180 B- A- A C+ D+ B
- Even though he is a having a slow start in his contract season, I’m sure 27/28 GMs would agree that this guy should get a max. The scoring volume is there with 24.8 PPG, the defense and handles are still good, 1.9 SPG and only 1.6 TOPG, he’s just shooting like shit with splits of 42.8/91.5/32.5. I wouldn’t be worried If I were Andrew though because of that current FT% and his FG% last season was 47.6%. He also has +15 left which could be put into his strength or three point shooting to increase his volume and efficiency.
Rui Hachimura SF 24 6’8 240 B B+ C- A- C+ B
-Rui is putting up good numbers while being a team player and playing out of position at PF this season. He’s averaging 17 PPG on 53.7% shooting with 8.7 RPG, 1.3 BPG and .7 SPG. And if you don’t think those stats are max worthy then go check what he did in PS while playing SF. I will be full maxing him and promising that he’ll get to play SF, so no point in wasting one of your 15 bids if you’re planning to try and sign him.
Killian Tillie SF 24 6’10 200 B- B C B- B- C
-One the of the more well-rounded SFs in the league, his game doesn’t have any glaring flaws. His scoring has gone down a little this season due to now having teammates that want to shoot, volume is still solid though with 20.7 PPG and on 52.5% shooting. Only negative is that he’s out of upgrades but still worth the ole Ian Boyd FULL MAX.
Sekou Doumbouya SF 21 6’9 227 A- B- C- A- B- A
-Looks like Doumbouya may finally be living up to his grades and hype. He’s averaging a solid 25.8 PPG on 49.2% shooting, with 7.9 RPG and 1.1 SPG. His remaining +5 could probably be used on his handles to cut down the 2 TOPG. He may be a boom or bust FA but probably deserves a max because of his age, scoring and grades.
Jim Halpert SG 24 6’5 195 B+ B C B- C+ A
-There should be no confusion on Halpert’s worth, he’s absolutely worth a max contract because of his age and defense. The 2.8 bleals (1.5 SPG and 1.3 BPG) are elite for a 5.0 wing. His scoring and rebounding are a bit down this year compared to last, 21.1 PPG to 19.4 and 48% shooting to 45.6%, 8.1 RPG to 7. Still though those numbers are all solid and should maintain or improve through TC since he’s only 24.
No Brainer Maxes
Andre Turner PG 24 5’11 160 C+ A- B+ B+ D A

Maybe Max?
Brandon Griner C 29 7’2 240 A- C D+ A C B
-I’m pretty sure Griner’s max will start at 12.5 mil because of his experience level, and he’d be worth that contract. But I do not think he’d be worth a full max starting at 15 or 17.5 because of the shooting guard quality rebounding, maxed out upgrades and he’s about to be 30. If it starts at 15 or 17.5, I think he’ll be worth a 4 year max.
eric please confirm where his max will start at.
RJ Barrett SF 22 6’8 215 B+ B C B+ B- B
-First of all why does he still have +20 left? Second, Barrett is now a really good player and should have plenty of day 1 bids, well done Fecta on not to caving in to the peer pressure to use your amnesty on Barrett. Without any huge flaws and with +20 left, a GM could use those upgrades on his strength and three point shooting to increase Barrett’s scoring volume and efficiency. I never thought I’d say this, but Barrett probably deserves a max deal or at least close to it.
Mountain Dew Camacho PF 28 6’11 275 B+ C D+ B A- C
-Camacho looks one of the better second tier bigs in the league after Ian used his full allotment of upgrades, Camacho’s upped his averages to 20.4 PPG on 49.2% shooting with 10.9 RPG, .8 SPG, and 1.4 BPG. If he keep these numbers up, I think he may be worth a 4 year max or flat max for 6 years. Ian does have Camacho’s bird rights even though he signed a only one year deal this offseason, not expecting him to leave Minnesota.
De’Anthony Melton PG 22 6’4 190 C+ B A- A C C
-Young PG that has come out of nowhere (to me at least because I haven’t paid attention to G-League). He’ll probably get the software’s vote for ROTY. Meltons’s scoring volume (22.8 PPG), free throw percentage (87%) rebounding (6.5 RPG), defense (1.8 SPG) are all good, he just needs to improve the 3.7 TOPG. Heebs has put quite a few points into Melton’s handles so those TOs should come down a little as the season progresses. With the TOs and only +3 left, I’m not sure if Melton is full max worthy, so for right now I’ll say he’s worth a 5 or 6 year deal starting at 10 - 12.5 mil a year, but that could easily become an Ian Boyd FULL MAX if the TOs significantly drop.
Troy Brown SG 23 6’7 220 B- B A A- C B
-Those grades are really pretty and his scoring production has been solid in the little PT he’s getting. In 13.4 MPG, he’s averaging 7.6 PPG on 48% shooting. He isn’t providing much rebounding or defense, but fortunately has all of his upgrades left. Was well worth what Ank gave Breaux for the slight chance that Brown offers to resign, if he opts for FA he should get 4 or 5 year deal worth 10-12 mil, maybe even a max if he doesn’t sign on day 1.
Mitchell Robinson PF 22 6’11 230 A- C- D A- C+ A
-One of the better young big prospects in the league, averaging 17.8 PPG on 53.3% shooting with 2.3 BPG and .9 SPG. Only has +5 left to improve his rebounding and free throw shooting, but the rebounding should grow with TCs since he’s only 22. Because of his two-way potential I think he’ll get a long term 4-5 year deal worth 9-11 mil a year if he doesn’t offer to resign.
Dillion Chambers PG 23 5’11 185 C+ B+ B B- D+ B
-The former G Leaguer has looked good in limited minutes, so much that Ward moved Jordan McLaughlin in order to start Chambers. He’s averaging 9.3 PPG on good percentages and only .6 TOPG in 14.3 MPG. As the season goes on we’ll get a better idea of his worth, but for right now I’ll say he’ll be worth a 4 or 5 year deal worth 8-10 mil a year.
*I really need to get in on this G-league action.
Michael Porter Jr. PF 23 6’10 215 B- B+ C- C+ B+ A
-I’m including Porter on the list because sooner or later the production is going to come close to matching those grades, he’s eligible to play SF and he still has all of his upgrades available. He’s currently averaging 7.5PPG on 44.6% shooting and 4.6 RPG in 17.5 MPG for the Pacers. I could see Heebs extending his MLE to get another TC then reevaluate, but if Porter hits the open market, he should get a three year deal worth 4-6 mil a season.
Jalen Brunson PG 26 6’3 205 B A- B C+ C- C
-The PG dream may be dead with the drop in handles this past offseason and no upgrades left. I’m not sure that he’s starting SG quality on a contender with his lack of defense and mediocre volume (15.3 PPG this season). I do think he’d be a great option as a third guard. And would give him a 3 year deal worth 5 mil after day 1 if I had the cap space.
Trevon Duval PG 22 6’2 185 B C B B C- B
- some people seem to like him, he was traded for a first round pick in two separate deals last season/offseason. I personally prefer my PG to shoot threes, but Duval is a decent option on an inside focused offense or a team that is strong 2-5. He does have +22 left that could be put into his inside scoring, strength or handles, I don’t think his three point shooting is worth trying to fix. Since he’s so young with most of his upgrades available, he should probably get a 4 or 5 year deal starting at 5-6 mil this offseason.
Barry Obama PG 30 6’1 165 B B+ A C+ C C
-Finally living up to going second round in the creation draft these last two seasons after Druce switched to an outside offense. I’d have Obama in the max or near max category if he were a couple years younger. At 31 next season, I just can’t see him getting a deal close to a max. The most I could see him getting is a 2 or 3 year deal worth 12-15 mil, similar to what Benji Hammon just got this past offseason.
Jackie Moon SF 31 6’5 230 B B+ C B- B+ C
-Moon numbers are a bit down so far this season, after quietly being one of the best wings in the league during the first few years. There weren’t many wings in the league that averaged 25 PPG and 9 RPG. Moon is getting up there in age, but he does till have all of his upgrades available and should get a deal for 3-4 years’ worth about 10 mil a year. That per year amount could go up if he makes it past day 1’s no brainer maxes.
Laurence Jackson PF 32 6’10 220 B+ B- C- B+ C+ B
-Currently wasting away on a Lakers team going nowhere any time soon. Somebody needing a starting PF should really trade for this guy. As far as FA goes, Jackson should get a deal similar to what he originally got with the Lakers (3 years – 15 mil). He still has all of his upgrades available and would be a good fourth or fifth option on a contender.
Dan Cortezee CG 33 6’4 205 B- A- B C+ C C
-No longer starting PG eligible due to the B handles (does have +8 available to bring them back up), probably at the stage of his career where he’s best used as a third guard of the bench. Should get an MLE this offseason.
Tank Selvy SG 32 6’5 220 B A- C+ B+ C D
-Selvy has been a good signing for Ian, he’s averaging 18.5 PPG on 48.8% shooting and pulling down 7 RPG. Will be deserving of another MLE contract this offseason if Ian decides not to extend his current MLE.
Juwanna Mann CG 32 6’2 190 B- A- B- C+ C- C
-Mann is not eligible to start at PG and isn’t starting SG quality, but is a nice third guard to have coming off your bench. He’s probably worth an MLE, or maybe more if you intend to use some of his +25 available on passing to make him starting PG eligible.
Christ Koumadje C 26 7’4 235 B+ D F+ B+ C+ B
-Probably the best pure D/R big available in free agency, his blocks and steals are well above average for a 5.0 big. He’s a terrible free throw shooter and shoots a little bit too much for liking but fortunately he has all of his upgrades available that can be put into his jumper to fix that 52.6 FT%. Or they could be put into his rebounding to try and get him close to 12 a game. Christ should probably get a multi-year deal that pays him around 4 mil a year.
Paschal Chukwu C 27 7’2 235 C D+ D+ B+ B+ C
-Second Hawks big man to make the list. His best assets are that he rarely shoots and has all of his upgrades available that could be used on his shot blocking and steals. Could be deserving of an MLE or long term deal that pays him about 3 mil a year.
Devontae Cacok PF 25 6’7 210 C+ D- D C A- C
-Decent guy to have coming off your bench if you need some extra shot blocking. Probably worth the LLE or even MLE if you miss out on all your other MLE targets. Does have all of his upgrades left if you want to invest in him.
Brandon Griner C 29 7’2 240 A- C D+ A C B
-I’m pretty sure Griner’s max will start at 12.5 mil because of his experience level, and he’d be worth that contract.
