David Robinson is the clear leader here for ROTY. Only to be stifled by death, he is an absolute monster. Perhaps the best rookie to enter the league since Yao, he fills up the box score in every stat except 3 pointers. Could lower turnovers, but he's a rookie. Tough to imagine any points being able to be poured into his blocking at this point.
Kenny Smith is the steal of the draft. Taken at the end of the first round, he continues a long line of Timpig's steals named Kenny. Looks like he could be a top 3 point guard in the league when he hits his prime, his base rookie build is just dying to get +25 inside and storm the league.
Another "Steal". SS shows off his FBB and drafting prowess by grabbing Olden Polynice here. An absolute monster on the boards, he might be the best rebounder we've seen in the league that also has beastly offense. .7 stls and .7 blocks bodes well for future TC growth. Another good bet to be one of the best players in the league in a few years.
Dissapointing stats from Pippen, but efficient as we expect. Not going to be a world-beater, but he could start for a ring team eventually. Solid guy that you'd hope to snag on an MLE. Not sure where you'd want to put his upgrades, maybe consider spending your upgrades elsewhere for a year or two to see if he develops nicely himself.
Big dropoff at this point in the rookie class. Horace Grant shows some potential, with decent p36 numbers in points, rebounding, and steals. FT% will keep him from ever being truly efficient, and the lack of blocks is concerning. Not a bad 3rd big though if you don't currently have championship aspirations. Could grow into a very solid 3rd.
Hard to pick whether to rank Horace Grant or KJ hirer here. I chose Horace just due to slightly better p36 numbers, even though his efficiency leaves a lot to be desired. With a couple nice TCs KJ and +25 inside I could see KJ having several years in the league at 10+ winshares, could also just be a min player with some lackluster TC growth, though.
