post here if you had a player that offered to resign and was signed to a non max deal in day 1 and you wish to initiate stealback procedures

If it means Ank can’t offer another MLE, then never mind. I don’t feel that is fair.

also because of the 1st year amount, don't think you're allowed to initiate steal back

Add a clause that those signed to MLE or LLE can't be stolen back.

That's the danger of offering MLEs to guys that could be stolen...lose your MLE/LLE until the end of the FA period and post-TC signings.

That makes sense if you KNOW who was offered a re-sign... but we don't have that information anymore.

I feel like losing your MLE is pretty fucked up. And not at all in the spirit of the rule.

Let the record state that I'm in favor of both work and reach arounds.
If you feel it won't penalize Ank, go ahead. If it will, I rescind my offer.

What workaround are you thinking?
I’ve got:
1. Change salaries on my roster to give me 4.5 million in space. Restrict my offer to 1 year, 4.5 million. Change altered salary back after FA.
2. Use proxy team with wombo cap space (e.g. Nugs this year). So if I offer someone a MLE, you have that team make a 1 year, 4.5 million offer on my behalf. This would only work if said team with cap wasn’t also pursuing the same player. And if the “MLE” signing would not mess with the proxy team’s other FA activity. If signed by proxy team, you’d just edit that player to my roster.
Honestly both kind of suck.

You gonna sim day 1 and then go back and edit everyone with the contract they signed onto the team and do say 1 with no bids

taking back Borat at 3.5 x 10% 3.85 million @odin Steal backs are only for day 1 signings to me this reads that after Sim 2 is the last time you can - "Sim 2 is Day 2, Sim 3 is Day 3, Sim 4 is Days 4/5) Resignings can still be accepted through Sim 3 (but they can't be stolen back after Sim 2!)"

after sim 2 is for accepting resignings, not for stealbacks.
(but they can't be stolen back after sim 2), we're now after sim 2.
