Small for his size, Drew Brees makes up for it by being a gym rat/scrappy/having hustle on both sides of the ball. Quick with his mind and his hands, he excels at finding holes in the opponents defense, being a double-double machine at the college level, with few errant passes. He's also an above-average 3 point shooter, and more than respectable from the line. However, his lack of strength and leaping ability lead to a career that has included 0 dunks in the college, which will almost certainly continue in the pros.
Defensively, he works hard and is smart, often sticking to tight to his man and causing issues by constantly being in his opponent's best passing lane. This leads to solid, but not spectacular stats in the steal column.
